My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

She has the cutest black heart shaped nose and a little black heart on her paw. She's very affectionate but is fearful of too many other cats. She is good with dogs. She is very very loving but will need an experienced adopter that is willing to give her the time and security that she so desperately needs. She would be the purrfect companion to a single person who would like a kitty to spoil. If you would like to give this affectionate beauty a chance please contact me.

Additional adoption info

Our process is as follows: Obtain a vet reference. If adopters are new pet owners we require two personal references.

Once references are checked and approved we ask that you complete our application. We will review your information and once approved we will schedule a meet and greet at either Pet Valu in West Haverstraw or at your home with one or more kitties of your choosing. If the meet and greet is not done at the adopters home we may deliver the kitty or kitties to your home if feasible.

If all goes well we will complete the adoption process. Our adoption donation/fee helps to defray the costs of testing, vaccinating, worming, flea preventatives, medications, vetting and spay/neuter. Although we always welcome our kitties back into our loving homes, adoption donations are non-refundable due to the small size of the rescue and that donations are spent before they are even received.

More about this rescue

We are a small group of volunteers committed to saving the lives of innocent and forgotten or surrendered cats and kittens from high kill shelters as well as local residents in need. We are committed to improving their lives and the lives of the people who will adopt and share their love. Because these kitties are fostered in our homes we get to know each one intimately which gives us great insight into their personalities and needs allowing us to truly make a good match with the adopters. We stand behind our pairings and kitties can be fostered short term if potential adopters have concerns. We are fully supportive so that our adopters can call text or email any questions or concerns they may be having We will always receive our kitties back into our loving arms should the adopter be unhappy with the pairing. Potential adopters can choose another kitty.

Our adoption donation is as follows;
$150 for dlh and dmh kittens and cats up to 5 years old
$125 for dsh kittens and cats up to 5 years old
$100 for cats 5 - 8 years old
$75 for cats 8 years of age and older
Special donation amounts apply for adults adopted with kittens.
