My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My favorite place to nap is on my fosters lap!  I start out shy, but in time, I'll be a good companion for you or your cat! After an adjustment period, I will seek out scratches - the top of my head is the best scratching spot!

My foster's resident cat is so fun - I even copy whatever he does (like sleeping in bed at night)! It would be great if my new home already had a cat I could be friends with, or you could adopt me along with another of Twin Cities Pet Rescue's available felines.   That way I won't be lonely and can continue to learn about the love of humans.

I like being around people, just sometimes I like to be at a safe distance.   I need a home that is willing to put in time with me to help me learn to trust. I love playing, especially with my crinkle ball, and spending time with my cat "brother."

I'm estimated to be 3 years old.

Jetta  is  spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/Felv, and microchipped.

Would do well in a home with another cat.

ADOPTION FEE:   $135 plus tax.

ADOPT ME: If you’d like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/adopt-a-cat/. A volunteer from Twin Cities Pet Rescue will contact you once your application is reviewed.

FOSTER HOMES NEEDED!!! Twin Cities Pet Rescue is a volunteer-run, foster home-based organization. We can only rescue as many animals as available foster homes. Please consider saving the life of an animal in need and become a volunteer foster home today. To become a foster, fill out a dog or cat foster application on the Twin Cities Pet Rescue website: www.twincitiespetrescue.org. There is little to no cost to foster an animal. Twin Cities Pet Rescue provides its foster families with food, supplies, and veterinary care for its animals. All you need to do is supply the love!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All adopters complete an adoption application. If approved, we arrange a meet and greet. Cats and small animals can be adopted after the meet and greet once the adoption agreement is complete and adoption fee collected (which is variable based on animal type, etc). For dogs, we complete home visits and then finalize the adoption.

More about this rescue

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.
