My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Silly Dilly is a sweet boy with a few quirks, looking for a family to love him!

Dilly is incredibly affectionate and sweet; he will always make sure your feet are nice and warm and will be there to snuggle up with you. He does well with most dogs, although he would probably chase cats... but he sure loves his kiddos!

Dilly has undergone a training course with Rogers K9's. He would really love a family that is home a lot, another dog to play with, and perhaps a kiddo or two!

If you would like to meet Dilly, please fill out an adoption application at www.rhar.org.

NOTE ABOUT BREED LABELING: Visual breed identification of dogs is unreliable and usually inaccurate. So, for most of our adoptable dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Fill out an Adoption Application online for review at www.rhar.org. No meets are scheduled until we have an Adoption Application on file.

If approved, a meet-and-greet will be scheduled; at this time, the whole family and any existing pets should meet the potential animal.

3.

Home Check

If all goes well, a home-check will be conducted. Occasionally, the home-check and meet-and-greet are done at the same time.

4.

6.

Take the Pet Home

Congratulations on the newest addition to your family!!

Additional adoption info

Each animal is provided with age-appropriate vetting prior to adoption. This includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test (if over 6 months of age), and being treated for any external or internal parasites.

Adoptions are not done on a first-come-first-serve basis; we strive to place each animal in a home that is the best fit for them, and work diligently to insure that adopters are also getting an animal that is right for their home and lifestyle.

Adoption fees generally range from $200 - $350, depending on the animal. In some instances, our long-term and medical dogs may have their adoption fees reduced or sponsored to an approved home.

More about this rescue

Ruff House Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping animals; the lost, abused, neglected and unwanted. We provide our animals with the care that they need and the forever homes they deserve. Every animal that comes into our program is cared for as if they are our own; they receive all necessary veterinary care and are provided with the tools that they need to succeed in a permanent and loving adoptive home.

Ruff House Animal Rescue is also dedicated to helping people as well; those who simply need someone to take the time to help educate them, those experiencing financial hardships, and those experiencing difficulties with their current pets.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of animals and humans alike.
