My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bittsy! She is a very sweet cat needing a good home! She loves attention and to be petted. She is great with other cats too. She would make someone a great lap cat. If you would like to meet her, ask about Bittsy. Please visit the Stone County Humane Society shelter located at 17379 Highway 9, Mountain View, AR or call 870-269-5200 for adoption information. You can also visit our website at schspets.org and complete an online adoption application.

More about this shelter

The Stone County Humane Society is a 501(C)(3) private organization, not a government entity that was formed in 1999. We rescue dogs and cats and are a no-kill shelter but we are not an open take in facility. We are currently operating from our new shelter building recently completed in August 2016 and a cat cottage. Our organization is managed by a volunteer board of 10 individuals and various committees that handle the day to day operations. Most of our daily operations are funded by proceeds from a Second Chance Shop in town and donations from individuals. We also provide low cost spay/neuter clinics to the people of our county with help from a local vet.
