My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Applications ALWAYS take precedence over inquiries.

3/25/19: please email adarrescue@yahoo.com for application.

These two smallish pups need to stay together. Because of that the rescuers and foster family are sponsoring there adoption fees. So the only expense for adopter would be the transport fee.🐾🚐🐾

This is a quote from their foster.

"Adorable pups need a great home. Chip and Camille are lively, sweet and affectionate. These precious dogs were found in danger of being hit by cars on an Interstate in Alabama, and although their owner was eventually identified, he declined to pick them at the shelter. They are about a year old, healthy, spayed and neutered, and up-to-date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. They weigh 25-30 pounds. Chip and Camille are likely littermates, and because they are bonded, we want to ensure that they will stay together. They are looking for a home with a safely fenced yard for play, warm beds, and most importantly, people who will cherish them."

Then a few add on comments.
They are the tightest and self contained of units. These two will need patient adopters due to some of their more annoying habits. However, their sweetness makes up for it.

They are housebroken. Terrible on leashes—we carry them instead! Do not know about cats or kids.
They get along with all of our dogs. Camille is particularly easygoing and plays well with everyone. Chip plays well and will snuggle with our other dogs on beds after playing. They are not food-aggressive with people or dogs. However, I note that Chip will bark and snap (not bite) at our dogs if the dog approaches while Chip is on the sofa with me, so he can be a bit territorial.

Go meet their pets

Our pets are fostered in their southern foster homes until adopted!

OCCASIONALLY we have a northern foster home that will foster a puppy.

More about this rescue

Thank you for your wish to rescue, save, adopt and give a furever home to one of our very deserving puppies or dogs!
Once we receive your application you will be able to talk with the adoption coordinator & the foster home to find out all about them!

We are an all volunteer run organization. We do not have a physical shelter as we are strictly a dog rescue organization. The dogs ADAR coordinates adoptions for have come from southern shelters and, regardless of what state the dogs are posted in, they ARE FOSTERED IN THEIR SOUTHERN FOSTER HOMES UNTIL ADOPTED, IF we are lucky enough to have a northern foster home, then it will say "In New England" after the dog's name.

Most of our lucky dogs and lucky puppies are adopted by families living in the northeast! All of our dogs arrive with a current Health Certificate, are up to date with vaccinations and are transported on a U.S.D.A. approved transport.

These dogs and puppies all deserve a home who will treat them as family members, who will give them a warm and loving INSIDE home, a soft bed to sleep on, plenty of food, toys to play with, family members to take them for walks and rides and, finally, give them the chance to enjoy the rest of their life.

YOU are their hope, they need YOU to adopt them to complete their lives.
