My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Beethoven, our special little guy who overcame the odds and survived distempter. A pup who could barely walk or eat was nursed back to life by our foster who wouldn't give up on him, and here is, our quirky happy guy! Great with children and other dogs, this 10-year-old guy would do best in a house without too many stairs. His foster is no longer able to foster him and he is now looking for a new foster, and he is ready for his forever home!

We are a 501c3 pending (not for profit) organization and do not profit from our adoption fees.
Each potential adopter has to submit a "Pre-Adoption" form and we check references - both vet and personal. We require proof that you are allowed to adopt and own a pet in your rental property.
We check with your current vet that the pet you adopt has been to see them for a check up in the first 2 weeks you have the pet.
If the pet you adopt is not spayed/neutered we have a contract that in a reasonable time frame you will have this done. We give you possible low cost spay/neuter alternatives.

We currently adopt out of PetSmart in Cortlandt Town Center in Mohegan Lake, NY on Saturdays from 12-4pm.

We can also set up private meet-and-greets!

More about this rescue

Most of us have been rescuing animals all our lives in various ways.

We are 100% volunteer based and have volunteers from all walks of lives!

We work closely with shelters in the south and take many trips down from New York to rescue as many pups as possible. We rescue all types of dogs in all stages of life.

The dogs that we rescue from shelters come with their vet paperwork, and when they arrive to NY, enter a volunteer foster home where they are in quarantine for no less than 2 weeks to monitor their health, behavior, assess temperament, and assist with socialization. They continue to receive medical care from our local veterinarian.

Once they are cleared for adoption they are either scheduled for "meet and greets" or some to our adoption days every Saturday at PetSmart in Cortlandt Town Center in Mohegan Lake, NY.

We always need volunteers, foster homes and donations of various kinds!
