My name is Rue!

We are looking to rehome our dog Rue. Rue is a Chow Chow mix that we adopted from a rescue organization based out of Georgia about 7 years ago. Rue was a puppy when we adopted her, she had been rescued from a really bad situation in Georgia where she had developed extreme shyness and a strong distrust of humans. Rue has lived with us and our other dog who is a lab mix and more recently with our son. We worked for a long time with Rue to build her trust and were really happy when she started enjoying life again. Rue has shown increasing anxiety since our son was born, he is loud and unpredictable and she is stressed all of the time. We are expecting another child in the spring and it no longer seems fair to Rue to keep her as a part of our family. Rue is a unique and beautiful dog, she is very smart but also very shy. She would do really well in a quiet home with owners who are willing to put in the time to build trust with her.
