My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Truman. This sweet but very shy boy was discovered living with his 2 sisters and mom outside...he was trapped and brought in to rescue and quickly showed his curious, friendly side! He was the first to come to the front of the cage to be petted and loved on and is now ready to begin the next stage of his life-as a beloved family kitty.

Truman is about 4mo old, with a glossy medium to longhaired coat. He will need a patient home with another kitty companion or kitten to wrestle and play with..perhaps one of his sisters?

If you are interested in learning more about Truman or would like to visit him, please call 907 980-8898. He's in Eagle River

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require that adopters sign our adoption contract and a no-declawing agreement. There is an adoption fee. Most adult cats are $75 except for those who are sponsored or part of a special. Kittens under 6 months are $125. All adults are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens are adopted at 12 weeks of age and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

Go meet their pets

We have weekly adoptions fairs in Anchorage each Saturday and in Wasilla at the Wasilla Petzoo either Saturday or Sunday. Our cats are also available for adoption from their foster homes.

More about this rescue

Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a group of individuals in Alaska dedicated to rescuing cats in need, giving them care, rehabilitation if needed, and finding happy homes for them. We each give what we can to help these cats get through this most unfortunate time in their lives when they have been taken to the pound or are otherwise lost and homeless. Some of us share our homes with these cats while they are waiting for their forever family, some transport them from place to place, some host adoption fairs, take pictures, post ads. Some offer financial help. We each do what we can to help. And through this dedicated group of people, more than a thousand cats have been saved and found loving homes.
In 2013, we rescued and rehomed approximately 420 cats.
