Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ellie is a 20 lb snuggle bug! She likes nothing better than burrowing in under a towel or blanket and snoring the afternoon away in the arms of her favorite human... However, she's not above running around and playing with other dogs too! Even doggos MUCH bigger than she is!
But be warned... she has lightning speed and a vertical jump that puts her bigger siblings to shame. A very strong, athletic girl, she may be best in a home that has a six foot fence. Honestly, if she really wanted to, I don't think she'd have any trouble clearing a four foot fence.
Here's what I do know: whatever her situation before, Ellie came to us with two broken legs that required surgery. As of this writing, she's been on crate rest for the past two months, and is just now cleared medically. That being said, she's not a fan of her crate (who would be after two long months?), and she absolutely craves affection from anyone and everyone. She WILL cry, squeal and scream at the top of her lungs if she knows you're there and she wants out. I do believe as she progresses with potty training and earns more freedoms on that account, this may be less of an issue.
Meanwhile, patience is a must as Ellie transitions into her new home! Speaking of crate training, it has gone well for the most part - however, when it got very cold out, she eschewed the outdoors in favor of relief in the comfort of her warm crate. Hmm. I have trouble blaming her for this as she has absolutely zero fat and only a little peach fuzz for a fur coat to protect her from frigid temps! She'll also need some time to learn basic puppy things like sit, down, and walking on a leash. She's an extremely intelligent 7 month old, so I am confident she'll pick these things up in no time...
Ellie's Adoption Requirements: Physically Fenced in yard
Ellie's adoption fee is $425. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, monthly preventatives, and is microchipped. Please visit our website at www.bsquaddogrescue.com to review our adoption process and welcome Ellie home today!

More about this rescue
Our first transport was in November of 2014 after the death of Jayla Rodriguez. Dogs were being rounded up with a horse trailer to be disposed of, so many rescue groups got involved to help save as many of the gentle dogs as possible. We loaded our suburban to head to Hot Springs, SD to pick up a load of puppies from KC Willis of LightShine Canine. When we arrived we were nothing short of a hot mess, missing many of the necessary supplies, not quite sure how best to assemble kennels, and fumbling around with the dogs as we loaded them for their ride to safety. I remember feeling discouraged, like I had no business in the rescue transport world. I apologized to KC saying that they sent the “B-Squad” to work with her today. She turned to us and said that the dogs didn’t care that we weren’t the most organized transport in the world. What mattered was that we were there, doing what we could to help get them to safety. The name “B-Squad” stuck, and we’ve transported well over 5,000 dogs to safety since that time.
B-Squad Dog Rescue is 100% volunteer driven. All of our volunteers have full time jobs, we are hockey moms, photographers, dance moms, bankers, students, etc. We all have busy schedules, but find time to do what we can to help make a difference in the lives of others. B-Squad’s motto is you don’t have to be perfect to start making a difference today! We aren't professionals...we aren't the A-Squad... we are just ordinary people doing what we can to help make a difference. We are B-Squad Dog Rescue!
B-Squad has been assisting rescues on the Pine Ridge and Rosebud Indian Reservations relocate the unwanted, abandoned, injured, or abused dogs to partner rescues in neighboring states. Since 2014, we have assisted in transporting well over 5,000 dogs to their new beginnings.
