Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Let us introduce you to the softest dog ever. Meet Maximus, a 4 yr old, 60 lb. shepherd/hound mix. Not only is Maximus handsome, he is extremely obedient and protective of his family. Maximus is also potty and crate trained and absolutely loves car rides. He was surrendered because his previous owner did not have enough time to spend with him.
Maximus needs to meet new people in his house slowly, but once he knows they are safe, he is very loving. Sqeaky toys are his favorite past time.. Maximus would enjoy a fenced in yard so he can play and a quieter home would suit him best. Because of Maximus's protective nature, a quiet home without a lot of traffic would be best for him.
All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested negative (age 7 months and older) and microchipped. We do not ship or transport. A dog's adoption donation is $200. There is a $5 fee for credit/debit cards.
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please fill out an online application here: www.heartlandsmallanimalrescue.org/canine-application.html
