My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Don’t let his grouchy kennel demeanor fool you. Max is a pretty sweet fellow once you get to know him. Max can be skittish and shy at first so he needs some time. Once he is comfortable with you Max is a snuggle bug. He will go to a home with experienced dog owners with a fenced yard. At two years old there are no doubt many happy years left with this canine companion. All he needs is direction and a steady companion who can give him the security he needs.

More about this shelter

Our mission is to provide a shelter where unwanted and abandoned dogs and cats, and other small pets, can be humanely housed until adopted to qualified homes. Very young and special-needs animals go first to foster homes. All animals are spayed or neutered before being made available for adoption. Adoptable pets are featured in the local papers, on all seven local radio stations and at several local pet supply stores. We cooperate with breed rescue groups in our region.
