My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Grimlin! He is 10 and weighs 4.3 pounds.  He is quite the character, being mostly blind he can get a BIG attitude with the other dogs.  It’s very funny !
He is happy laying in a dog bed or trotting around making sure the other dogs know he’s large and in charge.  He will bite if he is unsure of what is approaching him, so he wouldn’t do well with kids. Please fill out an application on my website charmingpetrescue.org

Additional adoption info

Please note we are a Texas based rescue that tranports our pups to the PNW once they have been adopted. We know adopting out pups sight unseen can be dauting, but we do our due diligence in matching the correct pup with the right adopter. We are happy to provide references from previous adopters, and answer any questions you may have.

We are a small, in home shelter that rescues stray and unwanted pets from San Antonio and Boerne Texas. All of our pets live with us, inside, as family pets so they are ALL child friendly, as we have young children at home, good with cats, they mingle freely, and good with other dogs. They stay in crates when we leave the house and at night, so they are also crate trained and housebroken. All of our pets are spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested and microchipped!

More about this rescue

Charming Pet Rescue is named after our first rescue dog, Charming. When our family was ready for a dog, I thought I'd look online and find A SINGULAR dog, but what I found was hundreds of good family dogs that had been lost and abandoned. I had no idea! We adopted 4 dogs before I was talked into fostering for a local rescue. I kinda got the hang of it and wanted to start my own rescue! I absolutely LOVE rescue! We are a small in home rescue, with small kids, so I am selective about the pets we are able to take in. We specialize in child friendly pets.
