Meet Preston, this 2 year old Terrier blend weighs about 14lbs. He came to CARE from Elmendorf TX where he was scooped up by animal control as a stray. His foster mom tells us that he has done well with the other dogs in the home so far but he doesnt seem to be a fan of hyper puppies getting in his face. Overall he seems to prefer people over dogs and is looking forward to being a loyal companion to his adopter. He is a quiet low ket little guy but he is somewhat of escape artist so he will need a home with a tall secure fence if he is going to spend any time in the yard. This dog was rescued from a kill shelter or the streets and has been evaluated for medical and temperament to prepare for a forever home and is in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas* and is ready to fly to its final destination once adopted. 1.
Submit Application

Fill out our Adoption Application -- preferably on our website -- LINK FOUND BELOW.

2.
Interview

Conduct a phone interview with a CareTX.org member and then visit with the foster family who can provide vital information on the dog.

3.
Pay Fee

Pay the adoption fee. This fee covers spay or neuter, appropriate vaccinations, heart worm testing and a microchip.

4.
Take the Pet Home

Coordinate the transportation method of your pet, medical records and rabies tag.

The application is not a binding contract with CareTX.org unless you are approved and you choose to adopt the pet after learning more about him/her. This companion pet was saved from euthanasia by CareTX.org in San Antonio, TX. More than 300 adoptable dogs are euthanized every week in San Antonio and even more die trying to survive on the streets. CareTX.org is a 501(c)(3) non profit that has been saving these very adoptable dogs and pups for over for 10 years now. We have flown over 600 wonderful dogs and puppies to approved adopters in the US and Canada in the last year alone.

Since you can’t meet the pet before adopting, we can send photos and video and put you in touch with the foster family so they can answer your questions. We work hard to match our adopters with the right dogs! Our success rate is 99%!

Our fee includes the airline ticket, airline regulation crate, spay/ neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip and health certificate and adoption fee (tax deductible).

We fly pets on pet safe flights and handle all of the transport arrangements for our adopters. We will walk you through the pick-up process and do all we can to make this a smooth enjoyable process for our adopters!
