Welcome Lazarus. He is a 2-year-old Great Dane/Shepherd. He is a big boy at about 80 pounds. He loves his foster dad and would make a great companion for a family. He would be best with an active family and could be with kids over 7 due to his size. He would be best in a fenced yard so he could be off leash for some of his play time. He is good on a leash, potty trained, good with other dogs and ready for his forever home. He is athletic and healthy and would love to be with an outdoorsy family. He is up on his shots, neutered and looking for love. He is in Texas in a foster home. He lives with teenagers, other dogs that are big and small. He is crated in the evening and does fine in a crate. He can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to deliver him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 200 and transport is 185. He will have an international health certificate allowing him to cross the Canadian border legally and easily.

You will fill out an application. We will call references and your veterinarian to get an idea of the type of pet owner you are. We will also run a criminal background check. Once completed you can speak to Marlene and or Troy who work with the dogs everyday

Go meet their pets
We are in Pipe Creek, Texas on an acreage. We will be using a transporter to deliver the dogs to Vermont or New England once they are adopted. We can let you speak to our Kennel Manager, Troy, who works with the dogs everyday. We also will provide the most current pictures and videos to help in your decision. Only the very best dogs will be transported.

C.C.P.A.L. seeks to reduce the enormous problem of pet overpopulation in Bandera County We promote low-cost spay/neuter programs; advise on basic health care & proper shelter for pets & offer excellent dog obedience classes several times each year. Since 2002, CCPAL has rescued nearly 5,000 animals. We are in constant need of foster homes for these pets until we find them homes. Our pets are in kennels on an acreage in Texas. We can use a transporter to get them outside of Texas if we find a great home.
