My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our awesome Hound mix girl named Daffodil! Daffodil is about 5 years old, and she is a super playful pup! She was originally found roaming in Meriden more than a few months ago. It took a long time for her to recover from the state she was in when we first found her. Daffodil was found on someone's front porch petrified, and completely emaciated. When we finally got her to our shelter, she threw up trash for a few days. As you can imagine, she had quite the appetite, and still loves her food! Now Daffodil has gained weight and gotten to the point where we were able to get her spayed.

Daffodil absolutely loves toys and treats! She listens well and will sit nicely. Daffodil still needs to work on how she takes treats and toys from people. She is still grabby because she gets so excited. After being abandoned outside and left to starve, who can blame her? At this time, we are looking for a home where Daffodil can be the only pet. She is not aggressive towards other dogs on walks or ones that are around her, but she is too focused on food and toys for it to be safe for her to live with another dog at this time. She can go to a home with older children, 16 years old and up, again because she can be grabby with toys and treats.

Daffodil is a great dog who will make someone a very loyal companion! She is ready and waiting to find her forever home! If you are interested in meeting Daffodil, Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for more info!
