My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

8 month's old as of mid march
Cala is full of energy, always ready for a walk, and will exceed at training since she is so smart and inquisitive. Her breed is a guess as are most rescued dogs. She is fostered in a home with other dogs.

The foster family are kind people but have had no time to socialize her much; there own dogs tend to bark at other dogs!

We are looking for an adult home with lots of patience, love, understanding she needs structure, exercise and love in that order :)

She is also crate trained.

Additional adoption info

ONLINE APPLICATION IS FIRST; ALL DOGS ARE IN FOSTER HOMES; WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER.

Unlike “pass/fail” application programs, we strive to match people and animals through education and discovery. We accomplish this through conversation to create an effective, pleasant adoption experience — and most important — to make lasting matches.

Each situation, adopter and animal requires a different approach. And while we reserve the right to refuse an adoption, we always make every effort to work with you to address concerns or find the most appropriate companion animal.

Please plan on spending at least one hour for the adoption process — we’re confident that you’ll agree that this small investment of time will be well worth the countless hours of enjoyment that will result from finding “the perfect match.”
Requirements for Adoption

Before falling in love with one of our animals, please make sure you are aware of the following:

Adopters must be at least 18 years old and present valid photo ID with proof of current address.
Adopters of Bully breeds must be at least 25 years old and present valid photo ID with proof of current address.
Some adoptions require attendance of a training class.
We encourage or may require all household members to meet the new dog or cat prior to adoption.
If you have a dog and want to adopt another, please bring your resident dog.
Written landlord approval, proof of home ownership, and/or home visit may be required.
While we always make every effort to work with you to address concerns or find the most appropriate companion animal, we do reserve the right to refuse an adoption.

More about this rescue

Our dogs in the San Diego area are almost 99% rescued from Mexico. Every dog is checked by a veterinarian during their general health exam upon arrival into our group.

On intake we either test for parvo and distemper or know that they are pre-vaccinated against the disease.
Dogs are immediately treated for fleas and ticks.
Dogs are treated for worms every two weeks.
Puppies under 8 months old receive 3 multiple vaccinations or another name for that is 5 in 1.
Adults receive a minimum of 1 multiple vaccine or another name is 5 in 1.
It's important to understand it is the 5 in 1 vaccine. Ask your vet ahead of time if you need any additional vaccines.
We use American made or Canadian made vaccines only.
Adult dogs receive the 3DX test: "SNAP 3Dx Test—simultaneously screens for heartworm disease, Lyme disease, and ehrlichiosis"
If the 3DX test shows positive, treated is provided before adoption.
Treatment for parasites upon confirmation of disease.
Of course, every dog is spayed or neutered, and given a microchip before adoption.
In general, we choose to feed our dogs COSTCO's dog brand food Kirkland (yellow bag).
Written landlord approval, proof of home ownership, and/or home visit may be required.
While we always make every effort to work with you to address concerns or find the most appropriate companion animal, we do reserve the right to refuse an adoption.
