My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NEW ADOPTION PROCESS: Please fill in the Exotic Lifestyle Survey found on the How to Adopt page on www.calgaryhumane.ca (please include my name and animal reference number) and e-mail it to adopt@calgaryhumane.ca if you are interested in adopting me!

Hey! I'm Hyundai, a very cute lop-eared rabbit looking for my forever home. I am quite the well-socialized girl who has been described as a total sweetheart by my foster family. I would likely do well with children, so long as they are calm, gentle and respect my boundaries. If you can supply me with plenty of ear scratches and nose rubs, that would be such a delight! According to the vet team here at CHS, I'm a bit on the heavier side - so I would love if my future family could help me loose a few pounds. This can be done using a healthy, regulated diet and giving me plenty of space to roam, play and show off my exciting binkies! My shelter friends can help you with ideas for housing, supplies, and other things I may need or like! So hurry up and adopt me already, I can't wait to join your family!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
