Oh sweet Greta. She’s a 1.5 year old coondoodle. We adopted her 6 months ago, and unfortunately the characteristics and behaviors we were told she had weren’t exactly true. She needs some training, and an owner that has time to do such.
So about Greta: she is insanely smart. She will play fetch for hours. Like any good coon, her nose has a tendency to take over all else. If she’s on a scent, she could care less if I’m calling her with 3 treats in my hand.
We were told she rarely makes any noise and she will bark but not howl. Not our experience. She will howl at anything she feels like, and I’m sure my neighbors are tiring of their new alarm clock.
I have 3 kids. She does okay with them but does sniff them incessantly and they get tired of it. I think she would do better in home with older or no kids.
We were told she was chill and didn’t like to leave her foster family’s deck. We have a decent sized fenced in yard but she is just itching to run. Her new home needs to have land
