My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE--Sunday, April 4:
Milo will be taken in for surgery tomorrow if we can meet our goal.

Milo went back into a foster when the vets thought he might be able to pee on his own. Unfortunately, he wasn't peeing so he is in Urgent Care to remove his urine.

Milo is heading back to WSU this afternoon to stay until he gets his surgery.

You can donate directly to Washington State University for Milo under Red Waggin' Rescue by calling WSU at 509-335-0711

or through Milo's GoFundMe campaign:

100% of donations go towards the cost if Milo's surgery.

UPDATE-April 2: We only have another two days to raise the funds for Milo's surgery down payment of $2000. If we can't reach this goal, he has to be put to sleep. It's down to the wire.

We are still short of Milo's GoFundMe goal & desperately need about $1000 for his down payment.

He's currently at WSU Veterinary Hospital in Pullman. The surgery requires a $2000 down payment. And total surgery fee will be over $3500.

Please, any donation amount is valued. Truly, every dollar counts.

100% of donations go to his cost of surgery. Your donation will help save Milo's life.

ABOUT MILO:
The vet told us that Milo has a life-threatening urinary obstruction which is so severe that his organ needs to be surgically rerouted. Right now, he's in severe pain but he does get some comfort from being petted and loved on.

Milo, poor sweetie, he can't pee at all and is on fluids and has a slim survival rate without surgery. The clock is ticking, and fast.

We're a small, WA state rescue and we are grateful for every single donation that contributes to saving an animal in dire need.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Please allow a few days for a response, as we are only part-time volunteers. We require a completed application in order to meet a pet.

Once approved, we will call you to talk you more about your interest in our dog or cat.

If you're a good match, we'll arrange for a meet & greet with the pet. A volunteer will do a home visit

On the adoption day you will sign the adoption contract & pay the adoption fee

All of our adoptions include a 7-day money-back approval period. After 7 days, you don't receive a refund if your return the pet. (Contract stipulates that if you no longer want to keep your pet, they must be returned to Red Waggin' Rescue.)

Go meet their pets

Although there is a small holding area managed by the City of Connell Police Department, Red Waggin' Rescue/Connell Pet Rescue has no permanent shelter facility.

Our animals stay in foster homes while they await their new homes, that are found in Eastern Washington and all the way to the Puget Sound area.

Generally, if an approved adopter is interested in another part of Washington State, transport can be arranged and runs roughly every other weekend.

More about this rescue

Red Waggin' Pet Rescue is a 501(c)3 that grew out of Connell Pet Rescue. We are a small group of dedicated volunteers that do this part-time and unpaid.

The City of Connell is located in Eastern Washington, and since it is a small city, it has no animal control, no proper animal shelter, and no pet rescue services. Red Waggin' Rescue is fully staffed by part-time volunteers to help the City of Connell Police Department rescue, provide vet care for, and find new forever homes for homeless dogs and other animals from Connell, WA and the surrounding areas. Our volunteers and foster homes are active in both Eastern Washington and the Puget Sound areas.
