My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A year ago today, this sweet girl came into our lives. The day she arrived, she was around 8 months old, very pregnant, and terrified. The very next day, she gave birth to 4 kittens - 1 was stillborn, 1 passed away the next day, and a third (RIP Troy) succumbed to a viral infection when he was 8 weeks old. Being part of a feral colony can mean that litters are compromised by inbreeding and lack of health care for these kitties compared to their more domesticated counterparts. Having a kitten die on your watch is heartbreaking. Her surviving kitten, Tux, is a handsome boy, and adored by his adoptive family.
Taylor has come such a long way since those first days, where she shook, hissed and wanted no part of us. With time, lots of patience and taking things strictly at her pace, she now sleeps on our bed at night, normally tucked up by our feet, and hurries me along if I'm not getting her breakfast quickly enough (boops or nips depending on her mood). She adores our gingers, plays with any kittens we have, and seems to be enjoying just being a kitty as opposed to the life of constant litters and life in the wild that she would have had.
Will she ever be a lap kitty? Probably not, but she'd make a great companion to someone willing to continue to let her grow at her own pace. Happy 1 year Anniversary of your new life Taylor, we're honoured to be part of your story ??😻🐈??

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All adoptions begin with an adoption application, available here or on our website (or from one of our wonderful volunteers in person). The application is reviewed by the adoptable animal's foster home as well as by the appropriate coordinator (canine/feline/small animal) to assess how the animal will fit in your home. We endeavour to respond to all applications within 48 hours, but being 100% run by volunteers sometimes we need additional time--if you haven't heard back after 48 hours, feel free to contact us to check in on your application.

All dogs and puppies have an adoption fee of $300, kittens under 6 months of age have an adoption fee of $250, and cats over 6 months of age have an adoption fee of $200, unless otherwise noted. Adoption fees help offset the cost to our organization of providing full medical care (including spay or neuter surgery) to each animal we adopt to a furever home.
