Don't let his size scare you away in his eyes there's just more room for cuddles! This is Bowen, Bowen is the absolute sweetest boy to exist all he wants in life if a full bowl of food and a nice cozy couch to take a long nap in. He thinks he's the biggest joker running full charge at you and turning the other way once he gets close to you... his favorite pastime is playing tag with his person. Bowen is the gentlest giant in all of town he's such a gentleman on the lead, hes patient waiting for his food and isn't pushy going outside to go potty he's pretty much the whole package. If you're looking for a big lovable active goof of a dog he's the perfect fit for you!

Their adoption process

1.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Our Shelter is located across the street from Warehouse Fitness Center. You can come into the shelter to visit all of our available animals.

2.
Meet the Pet

Once you find a animal that you are interested in online or at the shelter you can ask a staff member to meet the animal.

3.
Interview

You must fill out a questionnaire in person and complete an adoption interview before taking an animal home. Landlords will be called.

Additional adoption info

All adoptions are same day. We do not put holds on cats and will only put a hold on a dog if it is awaiting surgery.

Enrichment Hour: Adoption floors will be closed from 1-2 pm each weekday. The front office will be open for questions and other business.

The Mission of the Panhandle Humane Society is to prevent neglect, abuse and cruelty, as well as the overpopulation of pets and homeless animals. This goal is accomplished by educating the public and pet owners in the humane treatment of animals, increasing pet adoptions, and maintaining an animal shelter which is dedicated to providing humane treatment and care of all animals.
