Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Princess, a 12-year-old terrier mix who's still got plenty of pep in her step. Don't let her age fool you-she's as spritely as ever, especially when a game of fetch is on the table! Whether it's a quick toss of a toy or a full-on cuddle session, Princess is all about spending time with her people. She's friendly and easygoing, with a warm personality that charms everyone she meets.
Princess has lived with another small dog before, so she might enjoy a canine buddy to share her space with. She's also used to being around kids and does great with them, making her a wonderful fit for a family setting. At this stage in her life, Princess knows the ropes and is fully house trained, so she's as low-maintenance as it gets.
If you're looking for a seasoned pup who's past the puppy antics but still knows how to have a good time, Princess could be your match. She's a sweetheart with a playful side, ready to bring some extra love and laughter into your life.
If you're ready to adopt now and want to learn more about, meet, or adopt this pet, you can start the process in one of two ways:
Come on in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30-3:00! For in-shelter pets (not in foster care) coming in ASAP is the fastest way to adopt.
**the below two methods are slower than visiting us**
Call us (413-781-4000 x 1) or email us (springfield@dakinhumane.org) for more information about a pet. We are often on the line with another client, but we return voice mail and emails within 24 hours.
All adult dog adoption fees include;
-spay/neuter
-rabies and kennel cough vaccinations
- heartworm test
-current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian)
-microchip implanted & registered to adopter
-treatment of fleas & ticks
-veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin
-free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians
Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
