Claire is a 3.5 year old, heart-worm negative, Basset Hound/ Retriever mix. This little sprout may be a low rider but is a solid 50lbs. Claire is a super smart girl. She knows sit, shake, lay, and kennel trained. There can be only one queen in every castle, therefore being the ONLY dog in the house would be best for her. She does appear to be good with cats and is super affectionate with people. All dogs come with a microchip, annual vaccinations including EBR rabies license and tag, dewormer, vet exam and spay/neuter. Adoption fee is $75-$175. Our 1yr. old Bassador,  Black Pearl is looking for her forever home. Who doesn't love a "low rider", right? She is in foster care with a young family with 4 kiddos. . She has shown a few things we need to share. If multiple dog owner, she would do best fed separate. She does not like sharing her food. She loves kids, but we recommend 13 yrs. or older due to her size, 38 lbs.  As you can see in her videos, she loves snuggles and to play. Adoption applications can be sent to hailmaryrescue.com or filled out here. Black Pearl is a very light positive for heartworms and rescue will cover her HW treatment. Hail Mary Rescue, a 501c3 non profit, saves dogs from southeast Louisiana shelters.  It is a foster-based rescue which gives pets the opportunity to live in home settings where they are house and crate trained, learn basic obedience commands, and are well socialized, many with children and other dogs. Exposure to cats depends on the foster's home. Adoption fee is $200. All dogs are completely vetted, vaccinated, spay/neutered, and micro-chipped prior to adoption. Story
Pepper is still in New Orleans with our rescue but can easily be transported up to Lisbon, Ct using Rescue Road Trips. He is only about a year old. He is vaccinated, neutered, wormed, microchipped and has almost completed heartworm treatment. He is super friendly, does well on a leash and rides easily in the car. Pepper is from a large animal shelter in the New Orleans area. Please email LoozianaBassetRescue@gmail.com for an application and more information. His adoption fee is $300 and the fee to transport him to Lisbon, Ct is $185. We check vet references and do home visits prior to an adoption. Young dogs are placed quickly so please don't delay in contacting us if you are interested in adopting.

Elvis is a male Basset Hound mix. I have had him since 8 weeks old. He is an inside puppy. Very hipper and needs outside area to play. He sleeps on the couch or in the bed with me. He has a blanket and own pillow. Very affectionate and lovely. I take him to Zookeepers when I go out of town and he loves going there to get to play outside and with other dogs his size. I have a hard time potty training him cause my yard stays wet all the time but when he goes to Zookeepers he goes outside great. He loves his blanket indoors and loves to cover up when he lay's down to nap. He will get under the sheets to snuggle. He needs a loving family that has time for him. He needs two shots that are due now but get them in Dec. Apply to adopt to meet Elvis.
