I am Monty! Let’s assume you are looking for a special basset and I am the prize behind doggie door # 1, #2, or #3.  If you just guessed, by my razor-sharp basset mind, you would have a 33% chance of winning me.  How about we increase those odds to 100% because you intentionally choose me?  Let me tell you why you might want to consider that… For starters, I have a great personality and have a happy go lucky attitude. I sleep through the night, and my fosters swear I can tell time. Ever try to put a wristwatch on a basset hound? Bedtime, morning naps, and lunch time are all part of my internal clock.  I like to eat often, and on schedule. Three squares a day and a snack seem reasonable to me, and I am happy to take them from my crate. One thing about me, though, is that I don't bark when my hunger alarm goes off, I want to take walk, or need attention.  I like to whine when I need something and can be a bit unclear and persistent sometimes. My fosters are working with me to be less whiney and more content once my needs are met. Some of it might be because I have some skin allergies and have started some new food to help that improve.. Otherwise, nothing really bothers me. Overall, I look great, am fun loving and will make some family a great companion. Why don’t we make a deal? Walter is a very sweet 14 year old lab/basset hound mix. He weighs apprx 42#. He gets along well with other dogs, cats and kids. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $150.

I am Annie Maye! My foster mom says that I am a very sweet older lady. I am house trained and let my people know when I need to go. I get along very well with all the other dogs in the house and love my people after I have a chance to get to know them. I can be a little shy at first. I am very calm, happy to lay on a soft bed and chill, love to eat. I have some skin issues – lypomas and cysts – so they sometimes get a little irritated. I like to go for short walks and can use the exercise to shed a few pounds. If I don’t want to go any farther, I just find a comfy spot to lay down. I will do best in a home with little or no stairs. My foster mom says I will make a great addition to any home. I have growled a little towards the other male dog, but I am all good with females.  I do need to lose a few pounds so walks are great! Hi - I'm Brinkley.  There are things I love that I want you to know, and things I don't really love and hope you can help me with.    I have bounced around from many homes over the last year, and I'm a bit confused and not sure what to think.  I love being with my person, especially on their lap.  What startles me is when more people just show up; I need help understanding that this is ok and someone who will help me learn to not be so reactive when people show up.  I need my person to let me know what is ok while I learn to trust the world around me. I am not ready for more dogs in my house or immediate surroundings, I have too much to get comfortable with.   If you are open to helping me build trust in a forever home, I will promise to always be your best basset whether sleeping on your lap or by your feet.   Brinkley is an adorable, healthy young basset who has not had the benefit of a stable home in her early years.  If you are able to give this girl a secure, consistent home with minimal disruptions and no other dogs, we think she will be a wonderful addition. I am Bogart! My foster mom says I am a very sweet and loving hound. I am a basset, but my foster mom thinks I might even have a little corgi in me. I love to be around people but can be a little anxious when left alone. I don’t require a lot of attention, but need the comfort of my people being around. I like to ride and I walk very well on a leash. I will eagerly come when called for attention. I am fairly sedate with age appropriate energy, and will even chase a ball on occasion. I am still working on my house training – I can get a little excited and have hiked my leg in the house a few times. My ideal forever home will be with a retired person/couple who is around the home and is willing to take me along when they go places. I prefer a home or apartment without a lot of stairs.
