Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Gorgeous guy blended Beagle, American Stafforshire, Bassett Hound & LabTYSON Low Rider was his birth name because of his appearance, short legs with body very low to the ground and he is a mixture of a few different things.  And boy does he have a story behind him.  Tyson and his 9 siblings were born in my home after I rescued his very pregnant mother, her very pregnant daughter and another daughter just 6 months old.  They had been dumped in a local park here in San Antonio, Texas.  It was freezing cold and raining outside. His mother gave birth about 3 days after I got her and her daughter gave birth the very next week.  A different rescue took in the pregnant daughter and the 6 month old daughter. All of the puppies came out very different but healthy and happy.  You know a female dog can become impregnated by up to 7 different males and surely this is what happened to Tyson's mother Paris.  Miss Paris really had a diverse group of babies!!!! Tyson was adopted out by a family with kids and even though he was raised inside my home, they kept him outside.  He escaped his fence and got hit by a car. Sadly the car that hit him left him there until Animal Control Services (ACS) our city shelter picked him up very injured.  He lay all evening and night in a bed of ants that bite him all over.  That car really hit him hard. Thank goodness for microchips, ACS notified me that they had one of my dogs.  When I went to pick up Tyson, I was shocked at his injuries.  I immediately took him to my vet and he spent a week there before coming home to heal even more. Tyson endured several surgeries and he is back to being a normal dog.  He is happy, friendly and loving, also very obedient.  Tyson was not returned to his adoptive family because they were not able to pay the enormous vet fees for his surgeries and care.  So I am trying to find the right forever home for Tyson. Tyson does run and jump, plays chase, wrestles and has no limitations.  His back leg is does not bend completely because he had a steel rod in place for longer than normal to help the bones heal to prevent amputation. This is a dog with a very playful and sweet personality; he loves everyone and gets along with other dogs very well. I have attached pictures of his injuries, his mother & litter mates and current pictures of Tyson.  I plan on posting a video of him soon so you can see him in action and know he has no limitations.  Most of all Tyson loves kids and some human attention. He loves the camera; he weighs 37 pounds and a mixture of basset hound, beagle and who knows what else. Story
Name: George ID: SAPA-A-70052 Species: Dog Breed: Basset Hound/Blend Color: Bright (Orangish) Brown Age: 4 Gender: Male (Neutered) Good with Dogs: Y Good with Cats: Y Good with Kids: Y Meet George! From the euthanasia list to a foster home, he's stayed a happy go lucky little guy! He's a total "diamond in the RUFF. His sweet soft nature, small puppy like stature, and love he shows to everyone who meets him attest to that. With his big floppy ears, he listens very well and certainly knows his name. He knows how to sit, come, and walks quite well on a leash. George is a big snuggler too. He won't move an inch as long as you're around with a few good rubs here and there on his very soft fur. The more the merrier seems to be his motto! George loves attention, especially from kids. He does well with other dogs and doesn't mind cats one bit (even if the cat doesn't like George)! Don't let George's age fool you, though primarily chill as a cucumber, if you want to play - George wants to play with you! He'll always follow your lead... and your feet. He's a Velcro dog, loving and loyal to the core. He's ready to be loved and love you more tenfold. He's truly a PAW-sitively great dog! Want to give George a place in your family? He's a great candidate to be a perfect fit!

Story
Ozzie is a 2 year old basset hound mix (with Beagle, I suspect). He was abandoned by his owner and surrendered to Animal Care Services on 2/21/2018. He's house trained, walks well with loose leash, and unless he sees a dog, he doesn't bark--perfect for apartment rentals. He is affectionate, likes his walks, will play with most toys, especially a Kong. He does well with other humans, prefers small dog companions, and he's "meh" around kitties, and good with children. Ozzie is neutered, and healthy (vet visit on March 14, 2020 @ Vca Becker Hospital. Fully vaccinated. I'm giving him up due to my work schedule as I wont be able to give him the love he deserves to have (which is all the time, if I'm being honest). He's still a puppy, learning what to and not to do, but he's mild mannered and calmer than most dogs.

Story
Boomer is a sweet loving Basset Hound Mix. He loves to play fetch, loves kids, and loves hiking and running. He is a cuddler and loves to be the center of attention. He will make your day with the way he presents himself and the way he walks likes he owns the place. We have to re-home him due to a busy lifestyle. He is toilet trained. He also does not bark and will make a bestfriend to whoever loves on him. He does have allergies, but as long as he takes Zyrtec he is okay. Looking for a living person or family to adopt him. He is neutered and up to date with vaccinations. Proof will be given upon inquiry and as requested.
