I was even featured on the Hallmark Channel's Home & Family show in their Adoption Ever After segment! I had a home once. In fact, I was adopted over 9 years ago from Noah’s Bark. The nice people at Noah’s Bark thought my family would provide me a loving home. And maybe they did for a while, I can’t remember that far back. 😊 But my “family” was not very nice to me recently. They neglected me, especially my skin and teefers. When they moved, instead of taking me with them, they dropped me off at the San Louis Obispo shelter! I didn’t like it there one bit. I was living in a cold, dark, space that wasn’t very big. I didn’t have my bed or favorite toys. It was scary and lonely. Thankfully, the nice people at Noah’s Bark came and got me the heck out of there! So, now I am looking to find a real home. One where I can go on leisurely walks, watch some TV, take naps (I like those a lot), and be devoted to you forever and ever. I have really good house manners. I am potty-trained, sleep quietly at night in my crate, and when my foster mom tells me to go lay in my bed, I do! I am great on a leash; I don’t pull and walk at a nice pace, not too fast or too slow. I like to play fetch and will even bring the ball back to you and when you tell me to drop it, I will! I ride well in the car, and now that Noah’s Bark has taken care of my teefers, I have a BE-U-TI-FUL smile to show you every day. I get along with other dogs and even live with a cat. I am about 11 years young and weigh about 40 lbs. I know some people will look at me and say I’m too old. They will say they don’t want an old Beagle Shepherd mix. You know what I say? I say they are wrong, wrong, wrong. Because I know there is someone out there who has an empty heart, like mine. That person will be desperate to fill that hole with the love of an old Beagle mix. A dog all the others say is not good enough, or young enough or cute enough. But you know what? I will give that special someone more love than they ever thought possible. And when that happens, that special person will fill my empty heart too. Are you that special someone? I hope so!
