Sweet Lucy went to school every day, like a good little girl, and was loved by all of the teachers. However, Lucy is a timid, young Beagle mix who went to school each day because she was slowly starving to death.... and the staff would feed her, give her treats and some attention each day. It broke their hearts that she appeared homeless so one of the teachers took her home so she would be cared for. She is healthy now, weighing about 35 lbs. Unfortunately, her foster has not had the time to work with her nor has she an understanding of how to help her get ready for her forever home and family. She needs socializing. She prefers females to males. She needs someone who has the time and desire to help train her. Sweet Lucy has waited so long to be loved. Lucy is praying for a forever home that can shower her with lots of love & attention, showing her there is nothing to be afraid of anymore and to be committed to helping her grow and happily thrive. Are you the one who will show her how the world is supposed to be? She is a beautiful girl... please consider giving her the life she deserves. HER SPEC. NEEDS:very shy, fearful, needs help with leash training. The foster has not taken the time to work with Lucy nor does she have the skills to help her.

CHARLIE - READY FOR HIS FOREVER HOME AND FAMILY Isn't he a cute little boy? Charlie was found by a Good Samaritan after he had been hit by a car - unconscious and laying on the side of the road. Thankfully, the vet says he was just stunned with a 'headache.' This little Beagle mix boy is about 1 yr old and weighs 30 lbs. It is assumed that he was abandoned as he was very hungry. Charlie is a sweet boy, loves everyone and gets along with other dogs very well. This little sweetheart will make a wonderful family fur baby!

Story
Sweet Molly came to our shelter as a young mom with her 11 surviving puppies from a litter of 13. She was sick, heartworm positive and underweight. She was a good mom but now those days are all behind her. The AWL is providing her heartworm treatment and she is expected to make a full recovery. At only a year old, she has been through a lot but we are determined the rest of her life will be so much better than her early life. Molly loves to be with people and other dogs. She doesn't pay much attention to the cats and our best guess is that she would also be good with them as well as kids. Her foster mom reports that she has excellent house manners and is housetrained and crate trained. She would really enjoy a fenced yard so she can stay safely at home while she does her hound thing outside. We have promised her that we will find her a great family that will protect and love her like she deserves. Molly is a beagle and weighs 25 pounds.
