Story
Molly-dob: 03/13/2020-was rescued from a local Animal Control, after her hooman let her down by giving her up. Howlin4Spirit does not know why they gave her up, maybe financial, maybe they didn't have time for her-out of work or too many hrs on the job? Because she is a very sweet girl, is housebroken, walks well on-leash, gets along well with other dogs(young/old/male/female). At her current age & puppy energy level-we don't feel that she would be appropriate around cats nor toddlers(obedience training would be required) though, she didn't have an actual drive with our vet's office cats, mostly overt curiosity. She's smart and wants to please. Very friendly and happy. H4S thinks that Molly may have been crated while her people were at work as she's not a great fan of being in one(open-door crate is a OK place for her to 'hang', but it has to be her option or she will verbally protest by whining). So, we are seeking a 'work-from-home' or 'stay-at-home' situation for Molly's current needs. Although, we feel strongly that she will acclimate quickly, once she trusts that she is 'home' and that her person won't abandon her or leave her for long periods. With love and a gentle spirit, a trusting bond is right around the corner with Molly. She's a HAPPY and very healthy girl with typical puppy energy, so she would be an awesome running/jogging/hiking buddy for an avidly active person(s). OR, if there would be another 1>10yo to be able to hang and play with in a secured fenced-in backyard...as long as there's also a doggie bed lying around in the house when she's tuckered out. Adoption fee: $195(includes all medical paperwork from day#1 with Howlin4Spirit including all vet's surgical notes, spay, micro-chip, utd on Bordatella, Parvo/Distemper/Lepto and Rabies vax, current on heart worm & flea/tick prevention, plus Rabies and current health certificate, parasite-free, current on heart worm and flea/tick prevention, 3lbs of current dry food(Tractor Supply Store's '4health'-salmon & potato), new nylon Martingale collar & matching 6' leash, Nylabone or Kong chew toy, T ball, 'Rescued Dogs Rock' magnet, 2 'pet alert' wallet cards and 'SUPER PUPPY-The Best Puppy You'll Ever Have' training booklet)   This pup is in and will remain in foster care in Rutherfordton, NC until their fur-ever home is approved and they have recovered from her spay surgery. She will be ready to start her new life of love and adventures on SAT/March 28th. Transport fees are as follows: $125 to VA, MD, DE, NJ(as far N as Vince Lombardi svc plaza/NJTnpk, mm115). $140 to Jericho(LongIsland)/Rye/Albany/Rochester & SyracuseNY, JohnstonRI, ManchesterNH & BurlingtonVT.     A completed application, 3 personal references and your vet's reference is required for approval. Story
We are happy to present the wonderful and loving dog personification of Little Tom Hanks.  This 4 - 5 year old precious boy was abandoned and then rescued by a kind soul.  Little Tom Hanks would do best in a home with female dogs or a neutered non-alpha male.  This boy is not as big as he appears in the photos.  He is just 22 pounds and just a little nugget of golden love.  He is good with cats, kids and very people oriented, preferring to go everywhere with his foster family. He is a great lap dog and is a very affectionate boy. He makes an excellent hiking partner and also loves to sing along with the harmonica. He is housebroken and neutered. Tom Hanks can be left unsupervised with zero issues while you work during the day.  If you are interested in this perfect little companion please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Sorry, we cannot adopt to MA residents.

Story
Mr. Maxx is a great little guy.  He is a 2 year old beagle who weighs 35 lbs.  Maxx is a go with the flow little guy who does not meet a stranger.  He has not had the best life but things are now on the up swing.  Maxx has a great foster mom and two older foster brothers to show him what the good life is all about.  He is also very lucky as he gets to accompany them to doggie day care every day.  Maxx loves going to 'school' and has no problem making friends.  His tail does not stop wagging the entire time he is there.  After a long day at 'school' Maxx is happy to relax beside you on the sofa and is always ready for a tummy rub.  He walks well on a leash and rides in the car like a champ (shot gun of course).  Just look into those beautiful auburn eyes and you can see what a sweet soul Maxx has.  This loving boy will be an excellent family addition.  Maxx has been neutered and is current on all his shots and microchipped.  If you are looking for the perfect little guy to add to your family then you have found him.  To be considered for Maxx's forever family please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net or 615-943-7311.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Maxx is currently in Tennessee but can be transported to the northeast upon adoption.  Due to state regulations we are unable to adopt to residents of MA and RI.)

Story
Thank you, for considering opening your heart and home to a rescued pup in need of love and respect.   UPDATE: BUSTER now LOVES sleeping on the floor next to his person and has adjusted to the population of many other Beagle and young fur-kids like himself whom have been rescued and are seeking love, respect and a home of their very own. He is housebroken, but does not like being crated. Yet, rides well in a car(yes, in a crate...always best when travelling!).    BUSTER-m/n, pb Beagle-dob ~10/22/2013 was rescued from a rural farming community after he either followed his nose too far from home & got lost or he was abandoned..happens all too often by their so-called 'hunter' owners. Buster had been running this community for ~3weeks, and was getting into folk's trash; apparently with some success judging by his girth at the time of being rescued. Many neighbors contacted Animal Control(but they had no room at their 'inn') and posted his picture and location on FB, with no results. So, they contacted Howlin4Spirit to see if we could help him. SWEET little rollie-pollie(11"@shoulders, but has a 13"Beagle's body, @ 3olbs, with a calm, gentle demeanor.  Buster is housebroken and walks well on-leash, and is a sweet gentle soul. We think he probably was an 'only pet' in his past life and seems to enjoy a spot of his own, yet he gets along well with all the others. Puppies can be a bit irritating to him, however. Nothing mean, just warns them with a growl or two. He likes hunting squirrels and critters along our wooded trails, but at a moderate pace...not like his life depends on it. Friendly, but very wise. Buster is an 'old soul'. After spending at least 3 wks lost, & most likely shouted at/chased off, had to deal with guns shot off to scare him away, etc, his instincts on who can be trusted and whom he can't is pretty on-point. He's intuitive and reserved, at first. Then, seeks your love/attention once he trusts you. When Howlin4Spirit went to the home of the person who called us to take him, he had spent ~16hrs under a plastic container exactly his size, with no water/food...and 3 heavy houseplants holding it down on him...pretty scary scenario for such a mellow, friendly guy. Buster is looking for an active, early retiree or stay at/work from at home person. Someone with Beagle experience and at least a 4'h fenced-in yard with maybe a garden and who will take him for leisurely daily walks...he enjoys quiet adventures and hanging out with his person.  A true JOY for any Beagle-lover. Just be sure to secure your trash can lids and be prepared to sit at a table to eat. IF Buster can see an opportunity to grab a treat and run with it, he'll take it. Adoption fee: $125, includes neuter, micro-chipped, utd on Rabies, Bordatella, Parvo/Distemper/Lepto vaccines, parasite-free and current on heart worm and flea/tick prevention. Comes with all medical paperwork, including vet's surgical notes, Rabies certificate and health certificate. Buster is in and will remain in foster care in Rutherfordton, NC until his adoptive home is  approved.       More videos and pictures are available upon request. All regional(WNC/easternTN/upstateSC) adopters are welcome for a meet/greet, by appt only. Transport is available via commercial Rescued Pet Transport services along the eastern seaboard < NC>VA, MD, DE, Phila/Allentown/CarlislePA, along the NJTnpk, LongIsland/Rye/Albany/Buffalo/Rochester & SyracuseNY, JohnstonRI, ManchesterNH and BurlingtonVT is available at the going rates: $125 as far N as Vince Lombardi/NJTnpk-mm115 & $140 to all points N & W of Vince Lombardi. To apply to adopt this special pup, please complete the application provided at: www.howlin4spirit.org/adoption-application/ and send to howlin4spirit@gmail.com at your most earliest convenience. We will acknowledge receipt and begin processing your application immediately and will be back in touch just as soon as we have received responses from your 3 personal references and spoken with your vet's office, and property mgmt-if you rent.
