Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sweet Beagle pups that are playfull and truly enjoy being with their pack. As you know, Beagles are quite vocal and are good watch dogs since they will let you know when someone comes to your house. Born Jan 2012. ADOPTION NOTES:  The Hemingway Group provides a special environment for our companions. To insure successful adoption -- there are several things we look for.  First, the companions at the Hemingway Group are well socialized and used to playing and being with other dogs on a constant basis. Therefore, adoption in most cases should be to a home that already has 1 or more playful & active companions, or adoption of 2 companions from the Group is recommended. This is not an absolute requirement, several of our adoptable companions would do well as an “only pet” but most of our companions would not do was well. Next, our companions are indoor/outdoor dogs and used to running free in large -- very large -- fenced areas for most of the day. Your yard need not be acres large, but clearly a good sized fenced yard or very close dog park and your time to take them regularly is needed. We believe in the Ceasar Millan approach to human and animal behavior, click here for more information. Lastly, we are a small organization -- it is difficult to support any adoption out of state as we require your pre-visit with the companion, our home visit to your location and finally your pickup of your new companion. While not every item mentioned above is mandatory - please consider the environment you can provide a Hemingway Group companion before completing an application. We try very hard to insure a life-time home for our companions. ADOPTION PROCESS: The process is involved -- because when we respect and cherish our companions and want to ensure that they are adopted they find the best home for themselves and their new family. Review the adoption of its and the write up on the companion you are interested in. Click here to complete a form. Your application will be reviewed and we will make initial contact. If interest continues -- we will have a telephone call where we can review in more detail your desires and requirements and discuss in detail the personality and behaviors of the companion you are requesting. Then we will schedule a visit for you to come by and see your selected companion and/or companions that you are interested in. Next, we will conduct a home visit to see the entire that the companion would be moving it to. Finally, we make arrangements for the companion to join your family. The $200 adoption fee will be due at that time. Visit our main websiteVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.www.thg.rescuegroups.org

Could it be you? EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Clover was rescued from a small, rural shelter. Once alerted BFPA was more than happy to save this sweet girl and help her find her forever family.  Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.    Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.    INTERESTED IN ADOPTING CLOVER? Story
My name is Hazel Grace and I am a tiny senior Beagle. I am a retired hunting dog who is looking for a forever home where I can live out the rest of my days in a safe, warm, loving environment.I have been in my foster home since October of 2019, during which time I have been learning about all of the comforts of indoor life. I am working on house training and only have occasional accidents. I am a sweet girl, but I am also very independent. I enjoy love, attention, and belly rubs, but I am also very happy patrolling the perimeter of the fenced in yard smelling all the wonderful smells, especially after it rains!I am active and currently attend daycare every weekday. I love going to see and playing with all of my canine friends. I live with two foster brothers and we get along great, but I do like to be the top dog sometimes, despite my petite size! I share food and toys well, but sometimes I like having my bed all to myself. I will let you know when I would like some alone time! I am a great sleeper and sleep quietly all night in my crate. What would my perfect home look like? I would love to live with a person or a family who has a fenced in yard and a lot of love and time to share with me. Do you work from home? Are you retired and home most of the day? Would you like a companion to keep you company? Look no further, I am your girl! I love all humans, but the little humans stress me out a little (I think it is because I am so tiny). I would do best in a home with adults or in a home with adults who have older children. If you are interested in this animal please start by filling out an adoption application at <a href=""http://www.cfp-nc.org/adopt"">CFP-NC.org/adopt</a> and we will get in touch with you.

Story
Do you enjoy taking long daily walks but sometimes need some motivation?Do you love dogs but don’t like the needy, constant wanting-to-be-pet type of behavior of a typical dog?Do you like the personality of a husky but not all of the fur? Then Maggie may be your girl!Maggie is a hound mix who has a unique personality. She had a rough start in life and is fearful of sudden noises, movements, and people she doesn’t know, but take her for a walk and all things are possible. She has made most of her progress because of her love of being outside on walks.Maggie is very sweet and endearing and has been very submissive. She has been around all kinds of people, young and old; but it should be noted that sudden noises and movement will startle her at this time. She loves playing with our dog and has been very good with our other foster dogs and puppies.Next to taking a walk, playing with her doggie friends is her favorite activity.Maggie is like a diamond in the rough and is finally starting to shine!Maggie needs a patient adopter who is willing to put in the time to help bring out her full potential.Could that be you?Whoever adopts Maggie will have their time and effort rewarded by the trust of this sweet little girl!If you are interested in adopting her, start by filling out an adoption application (https://cfp-nc.org/adopt/) and CFP will be in touch! If you are interested in this animal please start by filling out an adoption application at <a href=""http://www.cfp-nc.org/adopt"">CFP-NC.org/adopt</a> and we will get in touch with you.
