Story
This is Ben the Beagle. His paperwork said Benji, his name tag said Bubby. He doesn't appear to know either of those names. I call him Beagle. He is so bad that he is good. He bit me on both hands within 30 min of me taking him in. So he got stuck with me because I couldn't send a biting dog to another rescue. Well although I was livid that he bit me (I have encountered many many scared dogs and some may even nip at you if cornered, I have never had a dog bite me on purpose) I didn't want him to die for it. He now thinks I hung the moon. I didn't. Mr. Beagle cannot live with me forever. We must find him the best forever home to live out the rest of his life. So in the beginning he was a door dasher. He no longer does that. However if he does get out the front door it is not to run away, it is so you do not leave him behind. He bays. Loudly. God forbid I leave the house and he see another dog out the window. He stands on the back of the couch and pouts and lets the world know his displeasure. He does not like to be pulled by a collar, even gently, he gets scared. He doesnt like to be picked up. He walks on a leash fine, but no slip leads or choke collars. He will even pull you along following his beagle nose. He adores car rides. He adores the couch. He would prefer to go outside to potty and then follow me wherever I go for the rest of the time. He likes to sleep in the bed with you. He is good around cats. He is not good around chickens. He is great with all people. He loves them. He is good with all dogs. He is a little scared when meeting new dogs. He is beautiful, soft, cuddly and will make someone a fabulous pet. I would say no small children only due to the pulling on the collar issue. He is house trained and uses a doggy door. (Well at my house it is a homemade hole in the wall that one of the other dogs happily made for everyone to utilize. I need to install a real doggy door) He does not like crates. He will be at Pets Supplies Plus on Saturday from 12 to 4 if you would like to meet him. Help me find him the perfect home that will be smart enough to keep him safe from himself so he never ends up biting someone again. He says he is sowwy and he wuvs me (just as long as I dont try to pull him by the collar again).

Story
What do you get when you cross a killer whale, a dragon, and a hound dog with a touch of greyhound? You get Orca!Orca is a 9 month old hound mix, who loves other dogs and cats. She's been in a foster home for three months and has done very well in a home environment. She is house trained, crate trained, and working on her leash skills. She loves toys and other things and will store them in her crate like a dragon with its horde, and especially loves fluffy toys, but needs hard toys to keep her safe. She loves cuddling on the couch, and her Zoomies around the yard will rival any greyhound for speed.Orca says her ideal person will have a canine playmate for her to romp with, and she wouldn't mind a cat or two either. She is a little shy at first, but will stick to to you like glue when she finds her person. Make an appointment to see her today!
