Story
Charlie was adopted at the Humane Society after being found abandoned in the Hill Country. She is a sweet heart ,and for obvious reasons, has abandonment issues. She would Be best placed with a retired person or someone who can spend all day with her, but will do well in any situation. Small children are safe around Charlie, but if the children pull on her hair or hurt her she will react like most animals. I have 3 children under 3 years old and she hasn’t hurt any of them. She doesn’t like being left outside or crated. She has a beautiful coat and never smells bad even if unwashed for months. She knows basic commands and loves car rides and walks. Only reason I have to give her up, besides my 3 small children taking up so much time, is that My wife and I work long hours and she deserves someone who will spend more time with her. She lives with Tyson our 10 year old Boxer and get along famously. She is very relaxed and sleeps a lot. She will tell you if she needs something.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.My name is Rosco. I was rescued from the Bandera County Pound about 3 years ago. The inmates took care of me at the old facility. They played with me and taught me to be a good boy. When they got full, they called AD4Y Rescue and asked them to save me and here I am. You see I don't like change too much. I became very withdrawn when I left my friends at the jail. I had alot more room to run and play and frankly I did everything I could to stay away from the girls. I trusted Ms. Pat, but no one else was going to touch this bad boy. But they wouldn't give up. Over the last 30 days they have been telling me they are going to get me adopted one way or the other. They told me I have to start being a good boy with strangers and letting new people meet me. I wasn't going to do it, but Ms. Pat made me play with Ms. Kim. Did you know she keeps yummy stuff in her pocket? I tried to resist, but did I mention it was yummy? The next thing you know Ms. Kim was taking me on walks and introducing me to new things. You know what? Change really isn't all that bad. I have to admit I love the attention. I am still a little skittish of new people but I am learning to trust people. I even went to the beauty shop and had them cut my hair. It's normally a lot longer. I love to go on walks, it is truly my favorite thing or is it treats..it’s a toss up. I even walk off leash at the ranch!  When I warm up to you I am just a big love bug. I have lived in a kennel now for awhile so I would need to be house trained again, but I am sure I can catch on fast, because I am super smart. I am doing great around other dogs too. I know that I can finally trust. If you have lots of time and patience to help me adjust I will be your best friend for life!
