Story
Penny is still in need of her forever home. Penny was surrendered to a shelter in September from her home of 10 years.  She is currently living with a foster family in DFW, where she is being treated like queen. Penny is a great dog, very loyal to her humans, but needs to be in a home without kids and without other animals. She free roams in the house, does not get on furniture, is potty trained and listens to commands. She thought she had found her new forever family when she was adopted in October, but she was returned back to her foster after she got in a tiff with her new sibling.Give Penny a chance, she will be the best dog you ever had! Age: 10 years  Weight: 48 lbs If you are interested in meeting/adopting her, please complete an adoption application and someone will be in touch within 48 hours.  https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.

Story
Jack is 23 months old. We have tried but we are not the home for Jack. We were told he had previously been adopted and brought back due to his extreme separation anxiety. Jack is pretty much Tigger from Winnie the Pooh. Even his energy has energy: he has a major zest for life! He is bonded deeply to both of my dogs: Jack is incredibly social. He is also very intuitive with dogs. Jack definitely needs to be around other kind and playful dogs. Jack is a love bug. There is literally no amount of love you can give him that is too much: the limit does not exist. He would do better in a home with no small children. We can’t do play dates at our house because I don’t trust him fully. He is incredibly large and strong and needs training to learn to listen. Jack clearly was abused before we got him. He pees when he is scared. And he gets scared at lots of things. Jack’s ideal home: one where someone is almost always home, and willing to take him with them when they leave.
