I have had dogs for 40 years and am a huge dog lover. I have never given a dog up. I don't want to do so now, but feel that it is unfair to Gracie to keep her. I have only had her 2 months and we love each other and she is good with my adult special needs daughter. However, she has had two serious fights with another of my dogs that is twice her size and that dog has required stitches both times. I could keep Gracie and keep the dogs apart, but Gracie would spend most of her time alone which I believe is very unfair to her. I think she is a smart dog. She has a ton of energy. I believe the best home for her would be an only dog home and one that has time to spend with her and train her properly. At this time, she chews when she is alone or bored. I truly believe that she could be a great companion for the right person/people. Again, I believe that she needs to be an only dog.

Jack was my protector and friend when my husband traveled for school for a year and I lived alone. He is very smart and will always be by your side. He loves to snuggle on couches and beds. Peanut Brittle (Brittle for short) came to us when her owners could no longer take care of her. She was originally almost bald and seemed to be in pretty low spirits. After a few months and some solid vet care, Brittle's skin looks incredible and her personality has really come through! She is very friendly and loving to everyone. Brittle is house trained and will bark at the door to let you know when she wants out. She really loves sleeping under the covers with her people and snuggling all night!...All pets have lifetime sanctuary at Haven of the Ozarks.
