Meet Casanova! This beautiful boy is even more gorgeous in person. We think he is a Belgian Malinois mix but his legs are very short! It makes him that much more lovable. Casanova was named because he's a hit with the ladies! He is very sweet and loving, he's active but will like to cuddle. He is pretty good with the 'sit' command, we think he would be easily trained. Since he's not in a foster home, we are unsure how his house training is coming along but he is very clean in his kennel. Casanova is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and low heartworm positive (don't worry we will get him treated, but he needs to be in a home in order to start treatment). Keeyo is seeking an active family home where he is able to be included in as much of family life as possible. He is and has been social with people, and is totally content snuggling up on the couch for a movie. He is still learning proper rules of play but is making great progress. He is house trained and understands home rules under supervision. When left alone his past family reported he would get into trouble and has had bad experiences with crate training previously, so his foster family has been working on re-training him to a kennel. This is slow and steady work in progress but he has been making good progress. Keeyo is such a sweet boy and is wishing for a family of his own. He is still very young and full of potential! He would do best as the only dog but his foster family is working on some dog socialization with him in hopes to help him become more confident and social around them. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ____________________________________________________________ Dakota is a 20 month old female currently located in Pennsylvania. She is very sweet and loving and wants to please. She is cautious of strangers and is especially shy of men but once properly introduced, warms up to them. Everything is new to Dakota as she never lived in a house before coming into rescue. She grew up in a pasture with my littermates for 19 months and never wore a collar or leash and didn't even have a name! She never had toys so it has taken a while to learn what they were but now, she loves to carry around her favourite green squirrel. She is good with other dogs but it is recommended that she be fed separately from other dogs. She and her littermate had to compete for food and it was scarce so will resource guard her food a little around other dogs. She still gets a little rambunctious when grabbing for toys and is mouthy like a typical Malinois so she will not go to a home with small children. Her foster home has been focusing on teaching important life skills like crate training and housetraining. She is a quick study and is getting the hang of the housetraining. As long as we follow a routine she is good. She is great in her crate and will go there when asked. When she gets very excited, she sometimes forgets her manners and jump on people. Her foster mom continues to work on these things. She is very smart and an amazing problem solver. She is also very food motivated and wants to please her person so enjoys training. On a Malinois scale of 1 - 10, she has an energy level of a 6 or 7 so long as she gets some physical and mental activity, she is easy to live with. She is very athletic and can jump very high! She loves hiking and would make someone a great running partner. But more than anything, she loves being with her people and is happy to sit and chew on a bone while watching a movie or reading a book.
