Story
This is very difficult, but unfortunately our circumstances at home have changed and we've decided to try and find the right new home for Chuck. Chuck is friendly, intelligent, healthy, and VERY high-drive. He needs a lot of exercise and space to roam. He loves being given a "job." He comes from a working line of German Shepherds, so he is best suited for a household that enjoys lot of walks, hikes, and playing lots of fetch. He also loves swimming and the snow. He's good with our two cats and has been good with dogs, but can get over-excited and has a strong prey drive, so if he may not be well suited around skittish animals who will run, because he loves to chase. We got Chuck as a puppy in May 2013, and love him dearly. However as we recently had two children, it's been difficult to give him the attention he needs. While he hasn't been aggressive towards the kids, he does tend to go into herding mode and is simply too excitable around them, which is a problem given his size.
