Story
Tommy Boy is a black and tan hound. 3-4 years old and 63 lbs. He came from a shelter mid July. Our dog walkers love him. He is loving & obedient and enjoys running around the exercise yard. In a new home, the owner will need to take it slow, as he can be uncertain in new situations. He will need someone who can handle a big, active hound.    &#226&#128&#139 Are you my furrever family? For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.   Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees start at $150 and go up to $750. The higher end is for our most in demand dogs, such as puppies, young beagles, and hard-to-find purebred dogs. In special cases, for purebred puppies, we may go beyond this and charge $1000. The lower end is for dogs that have been here for a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!  The beauty of coming to our Apple Valley sanctuary is that you can see all 90+ dogs.  Email your application and ask for more details. Sponsor Me Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Your tax-deductible donation keeps our rescue kennel operating!  Hours Friday:  10 am to 3 pm Saturday:  10 am to 3 pm Sunday: 10 am to 3 pm Monday: CLOSED Tuesday: CLOSED Wednesday: CLOSED Thursday: CLOSED &#226&#128&#139 Weekday appointments may be available.  We are a small staff and do our best to accommodate your needs. Story
Capone is a 3 year old, 82 lb, purebred black and tan coonhound. He came from a shelter. He'd been given up because of the death of his owner. He's a strong, young boy. He needs to learn not to pull on the leash, and he also has the big hound howl. But he's loving to his people. He does well with big dogs and likes to play. * No little dogs or kids please.* Capone will need a strong leader; he can be nippy and needs to relearn some manners.  A big pal to play with when he is without him humans would be good for him. He is neutered, has his shots, and is chipped.&#226&#128&#139 Are you my furrever family?
