Meet Charlie!! Oh this goofy boy! If there is anything you should know about Charlie is that he is a large dog with an absolutely adorably sweet personality full of love and smiles. He has a loud bark but it comes with the houndness in him! He would love a home outside of the city in a rural environment - with another dog that is looking for a playmate. He is very gentle and knows how to play with any dog. He isn`t fully aware or his large size so living with kids is ok as long as they aren`t intimidated by his size and excitable behavior. A fenced in yard is not required, but is ideal. He loves to have space to run, explore and play. Oh and he`s a hound so he has a very high prey drive. His favorite things include: playing with his dog friends, treats, chasing toys, + snuggling. If you are interested in coming to meet him, please call or stop by our Brewster location!Charlie is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team.For more information on Charlie or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. Hazel is ready for adoption! Hazel is a very special hound girl with a lot to offer the right home. She's 2 years old and a petite hound at about 40 lbs. Hazel has a wonderful personality. She's very social and loves meeting new people. She greats old friends and new with her tail wagging, her butt wiggling and great enthusiasm. She's equally good with other dogs; she loves to play but reads other dog's signals well and will leave older and less playful dogs alone. Hazel is a true hound at heart, she enjoys her walks and outside time, has high prey drive and will be right on the track of any critters in the area. She is a champion snuggler and loves to curl up on the sofa with her favorite people. Hazel came to our rescue with an incontinence problem due to a congential defect where one of her kidneys attaches to the bladder. This has been surgically corrected and Hazel is recovering well. She still has an occasional leak which may be eliminated with medication. She's doing better at housebreaking now and will ask to go out. It's possible that Hazel will need to wear a diaper when inside, but we are hoping that medication and housebreaking habits will eliminate the need for diapers. She's been splitting her time between two foster homes and does well with people and dogs in both places.
