Story
Hazel is ready for adoption! Hazel is a very special hound girl with a lot to offer the right home. She's 2 years old and a petite hound at about 40 lbs. Hazel has a wonderful personality. She's very social and loves meeting new people. She greats old friends and new with her tail wagging, her butt wiggling and great enthusiasm. She's equally good with other dogs; she loves to play but reads other dog's signals well and will leave older and less playful dogs alone. Hazel is a true hound at heart, she enjoys her walks and outside time, has high prey drive and will be right on the track of any critters in the area. She is a champion snuggler and loves to curl up on the sofa with her favorite people. Hazel came to our rescue with an incontinence problem due to a congential defect where one of her kidneys attaches to the bladder. This has been surgically corrected and Hazel is recovering well. She still has an occasional leak which may be eliminated with medication. She's doing better at housebreaking now and will ask to go out. It's possible that Hazel will need to wear a diaper when inside, but we are hoping that medication and housebreaking habits will eliminate the need for diapers. She's been splitting her time between two foster homes and does well with people and dogs in both places.
