Our Buddy Holly is a handsome 18 month old Black and Tan Coonhound waiting in the Dallas area for a new home. Buddy has a happy-go-lucky and goofy personality. He loves people and wants nothing more than to be close to his humans, but his exuberance and size (65 lbs) would be too much for young children. Like his namesake, Buddy loves to sing and would not be a good choice for apartment living. He walks well on a leash and, like any coonhound his age, has a lot of puppy-ish energy and will need regular exercise. Buddy is working on his manners and is housetrained and cratetrained. Buddy will thrive in a home that will continue his training and include him in their daily activities. Story
Beckett is a gorgeous 1 year old Black and Tan Coonhound boy with personality for days. Slightly underweight at 63 lbs, he is housebroken and cratetrained, and sleeps in the room with his humans and pack at night. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster family and would do best with at least one young dog that can match his puppy energy level and loves to rough-house. He can be vocal and would do best in a home, not an apartment or condo, with a fenced yard. He also enjoys invading personal space to be close to his human; he is a lover, enjoys snuggling on the couch and receiving and giving affection. He likes kids, but will do best with older children because of his size and energy level. He currently is learning his inside manners, how to walk on a leash properly and when to use his coonie voice. Like any teenager, Beckett needs an owner that will continue his training, so this diamond in the rough can truly shine. Beckett is currently being fostered in the Dallas area. Zing is a super sweet 2 year old Black and Tan Coonhound girl waiting in San Antonio for a new home. She loves to snuggle and is happy to just hang out near her foster mom and dad while they work. She doesn't like to be alone, but as long as she has another dog with her she's fine. Weighing 55 lbs, she's doing great at housetraining and quickly earned free run of the house at night and while her foster parents are away for up to 4 hours. She loves all of the dogs in her foster home, especially if they will play with her. She has a lot of energy so a fenced yard and a doggie playmate would be ideal. She loves going for rides in the car and walks really well on a leash. Zing is food motivated and anxious to learn. She can be a little timid around new people but opens up within the hour.
