Story
We rescued Duke from a woman who agreed to take him long-term, then her husband did not approve. Duke is healthy and very active. He is attention starved and really needs affirmation from his human family. He is jealous of our cats, so I wouldnt send him to a home with cats. My sons have moved out of the house and I am unable to give him all the exercise he should properly have. A home with a big yard and a dominant man who can keep him in check would probably be best for him. He is a good boy!

Story
Uptown Girl is a gorgeous 4 year old liver and tan Bloodhound that was surrendered, along with her daughter Valley Girl, by their owner due to his declining health. This beautiful hound weighs approximately 90 lbs and is housetrained and cratetrained. She is protective of her food around other dogs and would do best in a home as the only pet; Valley Girl is the only other dog that she seems to like. She walks well on a leash and is great in the car. Uptown Girl is very timid around strangers at first but will warm up quickly with the help of ear rubs and back scratches. Uptown Girl is waiting in the Dallas area for her new family. If you think you have room in your heart and home for this wonderful Bloodhound, please fill out an application at www.coonhoundrescue.com

Story
Carly is a Blood hound mix. She is 7 years old and weighs about 65lbs. The only reason she needs a new home is because her only owner had to go into the hospital for a long time and there was no one left to care for her. She is an excellent family dog. She does very well with small children and multiple children. She seems to like the Male dogs over female dogs and may be better suited in a single dog family or with a small Male dog. She wants to be with her person all the time and she loves to hang her head out the car window on rides. She is crate trained, kennel trained, house trained and walks well on a leash. She is very quiet in the house once she settles into a routine. She is a great dog and would love to have a forever person. She is heartworm positive and being treated.
