You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bullet is a strikingly handsome Bluetick Coonhound mix.  He is a lover of all humans, including the two children in his foster home. He has done well socializing with smaller male and female dogs in his foster home and has been exposed to dogs his own size with positive results.  Bullet has not been tested with cats, but may ultimately not be a fit with them. Bullet loves to play with his toys!  Being only 7 months old he is full of energy and loves to run around in the yard with other dogs and play fetch.  Bullet is not overly possessive of toys or space but does not tolerate dogs in or near his food bowl. Bullet would make a wonderful addition to a home with a fenced in yard, with either playful dogs or as a single pet. He is best suited with older kids, just as his playfulness may be too much for very young children. Bullet's adoption fee is $300 and includes his neuter, micro chip and current vaccinations plus a FREE obedience course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha.  Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, altered and current on vaccinations.  Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a home visit and a vet check.  Please complete an adoption application on our website, www.Adopthope.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
I purchased Loki when he was around 2 months old. It was during the summer. At first my school schedule was I’d only be gone a couple hours and come home, then with a new term came new hours. He’s now going on 8 months old (he was born May 12th 2019 so Mother’s Day) and with 4 full time students included in extra curricular activities and work and such, there’s no time built into our schedule for him which isn’t fair for him. His mom is a purebred border collie and dad is a hound mixture of bluetick and something else (hound). He’s around 40 pounds and a good boy! He is potty trained and knows sit. Working on other commands slowly.

Story
Myah is a 2-3 year old Bluetick coonhound (possible mix). I got her December of 2018. Lately she has been breaking out of her kennel, tie outs and the front door. She has been running the town and the police are fed up with her. I am looking for a home who will fix her and work with her. She loves other pets with proper introductions. She loves children I know 10 and older, hasn’t been around younger ones with me. I am in college and it’s been affecting my schooling with her breaking out of the house. I hope to find a place for her in the country where she can run. She needs to be able to come indoors as well. She HATES the cold weather, and is allergic or so she thinks to it and snow. 😁
