Story
Motty is a 10yr old, Border Collie/American Staffordshire mix, who is looking to be your one and only! This sweet girl, is VERY people friendly and is always excited to meet new human friends, both young and old, but would need to be an only dog.    If you’ve browsed through her profile, you may have noticed a very UNIQUE feature about Motty, she has heterochromia iridium (two different-colored eyes). We think that makes Motty extra special. Motty is also pretty petite, but don’t let that fool ya. Motty is all muscle and very strong. Motty would do well in a home with children, but parents do need to be aware of how strong she can be. She loves to go on walks & does best when she has her harness on. She does have a very strong prey drive, so no cats or other livestock in the home would be best. She is house trained and non destructive when left alone. Motty loves playing with her stuffed animals and manages to keep them in one piece for several days! (Ha!) Motty does not require a rigorous exercise routine. Just a few easy walks would make her day. Please fill out an application for this beautiful girl, and help give her, her “happily ever after.” The suggested adoption donation for Motty is $150, which is TAXDEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals inthe home, as well as the high cost of vetting our dogs in rescue. If you wouldlike to welcome Motty into your home, please begin by submitting our AdoptionApplication. The adoptions for all of our dogs will take place in the Omaha,NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not shipor deliver the dogs. Story
Jane is believed to be a Border Collie/Pit Bull Terrier mix, born March, 2020.  More information will be availabe after she settles into her foster home. Applications are currently being accepted, but puppy can't be adopted until weened. Since this puppy may be too small to be altered at the time of adoption, the adopters will be provided with a voucher to have the puppy altered and microchipped by the time he is 6 months of age. This must be done at Nebraska Humane Society. If you prefer to take the puppy to your own vet, we will pay a PORTION of the cost ($69) to your vet of choice. The suggested adoption donation for Jane is $450.  We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE.  Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes. Information about the adoption process:  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION.  Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dog’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match.  If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet.  The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note:  We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter.  We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process.
