Story
Jinx is a 4 year old border collie looking for a home where he does can stay busy and challanged. He is a smart, intense and driven boy. We think he could excel at agility or obedience and likely other dog sports! He is a very sweet boy who loves to snuggle as much as play! He is loyal and really wants to please his people. He is housebroken and crate trained. He is walks on a leash nicely. This boy loves to play fetch and push his ball around the yard! Like many herders, he wants to chase vehicles so he needs to be kept on leash or in a secure fence. Jinx is neutered, vaccinated, heart worm negative, and microchipped. He will be an amazing friend to the right family! Jinx is a courtesy post, please do not contact MUSHR but instead email his foster owner at megwagner@hotmail.com and include some information about your family. Please note that Jinx is being fostered in northern MN and you would need to travel to meet him.

Story
We adopted Finn from a local rescue almost 7 years ago. He was abandoned at birth and was only 6 weeks old when we took him home. Finn is an extremely smart dog who LOVES to cuddle and loves any kind of affection. He is part border collie and takes his job of protecting the house seriously. He is an excellent guard dog, but barks at visitors until he gets comfortable with them. We have learned that he does not do well with toddlers, which is the reason we are seeking a new home. Finn is an anxious dog and takes a while to warm up to strangers. Before we had our child, we had the time to give his anxiety/behavioral issues our attention. Now, it is creating an unsafe situation with our toddler. We are looking for an adopter who is patient and has experience with anxious dogs. Finn does well with other dogs, but has not spent time around cats.

Story
Name: Delilah Breeds: Border Collie Mix Age: Young Adult Gender: Female Meet Delilah. Delilah is a special girl who has had a rough start to life. When she arrived in rescue she was a tiny, sickly little pup who fought hard to survive. Thankfully, she fought hard, and she quickly became a happy, healthy, normal pup. As she aged, it was apparent something else was going on with her. Delilah has what is called Congenital Kidney Displaysia. This means one of her kidneys is about 1/2 the size of the other, along with some other abnormalities. As a result, Delilah has increased thirst and urination. Unfortunately, there is no way to truly know what the future holds for her. We cannot predict her lifespan or how long her kidneys will continue to function at the rate they do now. Managing the symptoms by not restricting water, and frequent trips outside are what she needs. Currently by doing these things she lives a normal life. Because of all this, Delilah needs a home where her people are home often. As long as she gets out every couple of hours during waking hours, she does relatively well. Despite all of this, Delilah is a normal, happy, energetic puppy who loves to play. She is fostered with other dogs, kids, and cats (though she will chase them if they run). Delilah is an incredibly sweet girl who loves attention, loves to cuddle, and loves to wrestle. Her ideal home is one that can provide her with a lot of attention, a lot of exercise, and has someone home with her more often than not, so that she can get out potty often. She currently is able to make it through the night in her kennel. Unfortunately, she would not do well in an apartment as she will bark if she hears people talking, but cannot see them. Requirements: Home willing to accomodate her medical special needs You can email linzyg1988@gmail.com questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed. This dog is located in Minneapolis, MN

Story
Hi! My name is Romany! My foster mom says that I am the sweetest, mellow dude around! I caught on to potty training right away, because I love to be outside, especially when there are other doggy friends out!I love going for walks and my humans say I am a very polite leash walker! I like to eat grass sometimes, but I respond very well to the word “NO” even though I don’t like it very much.My favorite things are playing with the resident dog, chewing on stuffy toys, but most of all, snuggling with my humans! I am such a cuddle bug!I just know you are going to just adore me when we meet, so lets meet!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedure completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $500To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi there, I’m Will – a very playful and handsome (or so I’m told)  Australian Cattle Dog mix of about 45 pounds.  I was born February 1, 2017. I’m crate and house trained, and lots of fun. I can relax on my own when I’m not playing, chilling with the other dogs in my foster home or in my crate (which is my home-within-my-home).  I know basic commands like sit, stay, and come, and am working on leash manners because I just love walks and playing in the backyard. (I especially think I’d be a good walking or running buddy.)  I am suuuuper food-motivated, which helps me learn quickly. If you have a backyard, take me on walks, and offer the occasional (or not so occasional) treat, we’ll be best friends forever! There’s one thing you need to know about me… I need a special home where my people understand how rewarding it is to earn the love of a doggo who finds the world a little scary. I get nervous and bark around strangers, and I was pretty scared of my foster family at first. But they have been working with me, and will tell you that I am super loyal and loving once you earn my trust. It also helps that my people give me little pills every day to help with my fears. (I take them like a champ; my humans pet me when I swallow them right down, and I love to please.) My medication costs about $15 a month.  Overall, I would really like a home where my person or family will help me with my worried side, giving me love and guidance and bringing out my playful personality! I think I’ll feel most comfortable in a home with older or no kids – I have a 13-year-old human foster sister who thinks I’m awesome – and I’ll need a little time to get to know any dogs in the house.  (Since I’m a herding breed, I like to herd other dogs, too.) I haven’t met any cats, but I might try to herd them and I don’t think either the cat or humans would like that. One other great thing about me: I eat in my crate and sometimes just chill out there when I need a break or strange humans come to the house. With a little treat or a couple of bites of food, I’ll zoom right in! Give me love, exercise, and a little space of my own, and I’ll be thrilled every time you walk in the door. My foster family says I’m a real lover who deserves a forever home; I’m so excited!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lucky is a 10-year old male, Australian Cattle Dog (Heeler) / Lab mix weighing 76lbs.  Lucky is an amazingly sweet dog who is great with kids (as long as they like big kisses from a bigger sized dog!) and gets along great with other dogs (both in home and in the neighborhood). Lucky walks well on a leash (and really enjoys walks) but would prefer a house with a fenced in yard or area to go off leash for a bit daily. Lucky will adapt quickly to his surroundings but would adjust best to a home already occupied with a friendly dog. He loves receiving attention and is always nearby to receive pets/love & treats or to play with a stuffed animal with you. Lucky is not kennel trained but does just fine having run of the house while his foster parents are away for work. Lucky does not jump on furniture (which is a plus!) and will need assistance to be lifted into vehicles for dog park visits or trips to the vet. He would do best with a house with an average/minimal amount of steps.  He is heart-worm negative, neutered and is up to date on his vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella).   If you are interested in adding sweet Lucky to your family, please fill out an application to schedule a meet and greet!
