Story
Hugh Jackman is a handsome, 6 year old Border Collie mix male that weighs 73 pounds and is as loving as can be.  This boy lost his forever mom when she died recently and he found himself being brought to the shelter by her family.  He was so sad and really depressed to be there.  Seems that mostly the young and puppy-like dogs leave first.  Critter Cavalry Rescue saw a wonderful middle-aged soul in Jackman and knew he would be perfect for some empty nesting couple or even a young couple who doesn’t want puppy energy in their home.  Hugh  Jackman is a good boy with just the right amount of medium energy and loads of snuggles and cuddles. If you love a gentle giant then Hugh Jack is the one for you!!!   He is a handsome black and white boy that never meets a stranger and is great with dogs and cats alike.  What’s not to love about HUGH JACKMAN!  Please contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com about Jack if you are interested in giving him a future again…a long term future. Hi! My name is Big Bear! I'm about 3 years old and weighs 65 lbs. I was found as a stray about 2 years ago and am now just too much dog for my new owner to handle. I walk well on a leash but if I see something of Interest I will pull. I get along well with children and other dogs. I ride well in the car and will hop right in. I'm very well-behaved indoors. I'm also well-behaved oudoors, but will bark at school buses, white trucks, motorcycles, and motorcycles. I'm a very I am a very sweet, loving dog. I know how to sit and shake. I'm house-trained. I am patiently waiting for my new forever home. Email is the best method of contact.

The story of a true diamond in the rough; found as a stray, extremely unsocialized, but in the past few months Dottie has made the transformation of a lifetime.  This beautiful, 2 year old,  Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix girl is roughly 50 pounds and still has room for improvement but we feel she is ready to brave the steps to find her forever home.  Dottie will need that special someone willing to give her the time needed to earn her trust but when that is accomplished, you’re in for a true gem.  She is fully housetrained and kennel trained.  She will need a fenced yard like most active breed dogs.  She is wonderful with other dogs and would likely excel in a home with another confident dog.  Since being in her foster home, she has grown to love and trust her family and we are sure it would take no time for her forever family to gain that trust as well.  She loves to run and play and will easily be everything you want in your new companion.  Can you be Dottie’s hero and make your home Dottie’s last?  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Sorry, we cannot adopt to MA residents.

I never thought I'd ever rehome my dog. I have tried different ways to resolve her not getting along with our other pet dogs and cats. She is fine with with unfamiliar dogs. Her not getting along with our other pets started about 3 years ago and unfortunately has not gotten any better. I've had her since she was a puppy. My veterinarian suggested we keep her separate from all other household pets or rehome her. Separating her has been very difficult and has put a huge strain on our household. She is 6 years old house broken, super loving, loyal, playful and adores people. She would make an awesome only dog house pet. She grew up with children but might be best with children over 10. She loves to run but is a couch potato for the most part. She is 40 lbs., spayed, up to date on all her vaccines and micro chipped. Believed to be a heeler/hound mix. I'm asking a for a low rehoming fee and references to ensure she goes to a loving home.
