Story
We love Pippa, and because we love her, we want to find her a better home. We have 2 small children (which we did not when we first adopted Pippa), and she has not adjusted well to having kids in the house. We think the best household for her would be one without children, an experienced dog owner, someone who hikes a lot and wants a buddy OR someone who would like to work with her on herding / agility “jobs” and training. She is a good dog and we want to give her the right environment. She’s nearly 5 years old, a border collie mix rescue, spayed, house and crate trained, up to date on all shots, micro-chipped, knows some commands, energetic, a good home protector, and is extremely intelligent and food motivated for training. I’ll answer any questions, we can provide a crate, toys, food, etc. And we will travel to find her a great home! Thanks, animal lovers!

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. Please note: Lacey is located in Arkansas. She is listed in the states that we offer transport to or near. She will remain in Arkansas until she has an adopter approved and ready for her. We use Alpha Dog Transport and you can see more about them at www.alphadogtransport.com. 1/17/2020 Lacey came into rescue along with her litter of puppies. They were taken from a neglectful home, where the owners did not care about her or her puppies. They were living outdoors, surviving off of garbage because the owners would not feed them. Lacey was extremely malnourished but was still feeding her babies and trying to make sure they were ok. It was heart breaking to see her in such poor condition. But after only a week in rescue, she was making great progress, and now 2 weeks later, she is doing wonderful! She has gained weight and we have had her spayed. She tested negative for heartworms. Lacey has the sweetest personality. She is very submissive with other dogs and gets along really well with all the other dogs here, large and small. She is crate trained and is working on house training. She will do better with that once she is in a home where she can have more individual attention. She is very food motivated which make training a breeze. We believe Lacey is about a year old. We are unsure of her breed but Border Collie mix is my best guess. Her gray and white coloring is beautiful. For more info, email kelley.aasr@gmail.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $300-$350, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $250. This includes spay/neuter if old enough, (If not old enough for spay/neuter, the puppy will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract, which will require the adopter to have him/her spayed/neutered no later than 6 months of age), up to date age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $140 per dog. We use Uber Dog Animal Rescue Transport, and you can see more about them at www.uberdogart.com. Hi! My name is Big Bear! I'm about 3 years old and weighs 65 lbs. I was found as a stray about 2 years ago and am now just too much dog for my new owner to handle. I walk well on a leash but if I see something of Interest I will pull. I get along well with children and other dogs. I ride well in the car and will hop right in. I'm very well-behaved indoors. I'm also well-behaved oudoors, but will bark at school buses, white trucks, motorcycles, and motorcycles. I'm a very I am a very sweet, loving dog. I know how to sit and shake. I'm house-trained. I am patiently waiting for my new forever home. Email is the best method of contact.
