Story
HEY FOLKS! My name's Vika and I am the marketing icon and mascot for batteries...and not just any battery, but the world's largest grid-scale lithium ion 100 megawatt batteries because I just keep going...and going...and going. Ok, so none of that is technically true but it might as well be. For one thing, I am cute and totally mascot worthy. LOOK AT THIS FACE. Second, I can go for miles. My favorite things to do are zoomies. I zoomie inside, I zoomie outside, I zoomie up, down, and all around. I zoomie on the couch, on the table, on the counter ... although I get in trouble for the last two. I love to play fetch, go for a jog, learn new tricks. You name it, as long as it isn't slowing down, I am a fan! I play great with the other dogs and try my hardest to get cats to play but they're all like "pfft pfft, I am too good for you". I would love a home with children. Children are busy and we can be busy together. I have to have a yard to play in. And ideally, someone who is a walker or jogger or even better, someone who loves agility. Because I am smart! I am a mix of many intelligent breeds. And active breeds. Did I mention active? I am sure my rescue family can tell you more about me below, but for now, I just have to say thank you to my rescuers. My siblings came to FBS as puppies with my mother but I stayed with my rescuers. Unfortunately I am too active for their lifestyle (and lack of yard) so they knew that if I came to FBS, the best home would be found like it was for my mother and sisters (Miriam, Chiara, Noemi, and Devita). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Intake Date: 26 March 2020 ----- Age: 6 m ----- Breed: Her DNA test came back as 12.5% border collie / 12.5% australian shepherd / 12.5% German Shepherd / 12.5% Bull Mastiff / 50% everything else imaginable. DNA tests are not 100% accurate but I can see a couple of these breeds! ----- Size: 45 lbs ----- Status: owner surrender ----- Compatible with: dogs, cats, children ----- Suitable for: home with fenced yard ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: none major noted. ----- Additional Notes: **A secure fenced yard is required** Vika is awesome. She is so silly and made herself right at home as soon as she walked through our door. She is incredibly intelligent and would make a great agility girl! She is eager to please and a busy body. She is lean and long legged. She reminds me of her mother Miriam whom we had listed as a border collie mix and if the dna test is right, she was indeed 1/4 border collie . All of the breeds in Vika's genetics are intelligent working breeds. She shows it! She loves to learn new things, is very command driven, and loves to play. Her temporary owners have done a wonderful job with her training. She can certainly benefit from some more boundaries but that is expected for a young pup. If you are not an active person willing and eager to continue conditioning her mind, please do not apply. She is absolutely adorable but she is an active girl. She is beautifully crate trained as well. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting, please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption can be finalized at that time. FBS standard adoption fee is $175. All residents are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. A secure physically fenced yard is required.
