Meeting Checkmate (A098753) is a sure victory! This is truly a FABULOUS dog and CHECKS EVERY BOX! Checkmate is a friendly girl. She doesn`t mind meeting new folks or saying hello to friends she already knows. This is an extremely likable pup! This lady knows many commands, is a pro leash walker, and she participates in playgroup activities, so a doggie companion is fine by her. But she can entertain herself too, so she`s good being an one and only if that`s your preference! Checkmate`s preference is finding a forever or foster home. She is at 2032 Circle Road and she`d love for you to come meet her TODAY! Checkmate is a 3 year old, female. She weighs 43lb.s and is available for adoption or foster care!

Hello! I'm Betsy. If you're looking for a really sweet dog, I'm your girl. Of course, if you're looking through the dogs that Fuzzy Friends has available to adopt alphabetically, you probably already know that I'm Bear's sister. I mostly agree with everything he said on his page, except he left out the part about me being the real star of the family! And don't you dare listen to him when he says he's always in charge. Boys! Aren't they just impossible?Anyway, here's what he said about us both that I agree with:"I have a sister, Betsy, who also lives at Fuzzy Friends Rescue. We're hoping we can stay together, but it's OK if we don't, because once we find a new home, we both plan to focus full-time on our new humans and families. Our last owner had to give us up because they had a new baby to take care of, but she told the Fuzzy Friends folks that we LOVED their family, and she was right! But we don't get along as well with strangers until we've checked them out and made sure they're not a threat to the family." Like Bear, I really like lots of room, I also know the commands "sit", "down", and "stay", and I'm really cuddly with humans once I get to know them. Unlike Bear, though, I'm not all that fond of other dogs, except for Bear. We get along great! Please come by to meet me. And Bear, too.

But I don't get along as well with strangers until we've checked them out and made sure they're not a threat to the family. But I'm very cuddly and friendly with people I know. I'm also really easy-going with other large dogs.My dream home would be comfy, with lots of room to patrol and carry around my toys and my blankie, and most important, a human to love! You should know, though, that I don't much like young children. I know the commands "sit", "down", and "stay", and I'm really friendly, playful, and active. I'm a bit food-centric, but hey! That's what dogs are all about, right? A guy's gotta keep up his strength, what with being in charge of protecting the family and all.I hope you visit me real soon. I promise I'll you'll like me.

Story
Sammy fits in everywhere (that he fits). Good with cats and great with dogs. He currently is being fostered with five other dogs male and female and gets along (passive) will all of them, even our grumpy older female Sheppard mix and Male Husky. Sammy is a lover not a fighter. He actively disregards or avoids any sign of other dog aggression. He loves people and any attention he can get. Does well in the car or truck, though does need to learn some manners as he wants to be in your lap. If your strong willed he will listen and be ok just touching you. If owner is passive, he will be in your lap…… (Foster Dad Note” Sammy’s daddy was not a glass maker….if you let him,,55lb of dog will dominate your field of vision and grasp of the steering wheel….Note 2: Sammy is a terrible driver) He loves to go for walks and is learning not to pull. Enjoys the dog park. He learns very quickly. He gets really happy when he sees kids (and other dogs, frogs, birds, dandelions, dust floating in the air) . He melts like butter when kids want to pet him though.. Of note, if child has been eating anything recently, Sammy will provide free clean up without request. Sammy is working on his separation issues…He is fine for a few minutes by himself, ok in a crate for an 1/2 hour. Longer than that AND ALONE he gets worried and will get out of his crate. We have just taken him in to our home (second foster) and are working through this. Our dogs have full access to the house and though dog door a small part of the property. It seems so far if he is not contained and with other pups he knows, there is no issue. ….So for now, only dog and being left alone is not a workable situation for him (or your furniture) But I think we can get him better with time. If you’re looking for a furever friend he would be perfect. Contact Sammy's foster, Erik, at we.chip.pets@gmail.com

Heartworms: he is positive and has started treatment. This will need to be maintained by adopter. Contact info: hunt_alma@yahoo.com Tell us about the pet: Duke is such an amazing dog. He was found running around in Cameron Park after his owners dumped him. He's completely potty trained and kennel trained. He loves to talk to you while you're playing. He does like to nip at your hands in a playful way, but we are working on that. I give him heartworm meds once every two weeks. I'm not sure about children he seems gentle enough so I dont think it would be a problem.

Story
Super shy, super frightened dogs have the roughest time in the shelter. They don`t connect easily with potential adopters because they seem standoffish. But the truth is, all they want is someone to take them away from the noisy confusion they`re living in. Jacks s(A099182) is bashful and scared, but a love. He isn`t going to come give you hugs and kisses right away, but he might once he`s in a home of his own. He will go where you ask him to. Once he`s away from the chaos, he tends to want to walk around and sniff. That`s okay because that`s calming. Jacks needs a hero today. He needs out of the shelter and into a home that will have the patience to give him the time to decompress. He walks well on a leash. He doesn`t mind standing near you, and will even lean on you once he feels safe. He`s also in the gentle dainty playgroup, so another quieter dog in the home would be a good thing! If you have it in your heart to help this senior boy, then come to 2032 Circle Road and give him a new chance at life. Jacks is a 6 year old male. He weighs 56lbs and he is available for adoption or foster

Introducing Ryan! (A107791) This is a dog who is as smooth as a gentle breeze! Seriously. He isn`t a dog that`s going to make unnecessary waves. He`s going to be a best friend by your side, day after day. As you can see, Ryan is a looker. Yet, he`s subtle, which makes him easy to overlook in his kennel. He can also be a bit shy, so when he approached, he may not appear warm.Do not let that fool you! He is an impressive guy! He`s great on a leash, extremely curious, and he`ll entertain you with his zoomies! He`s a lover of people and other dogs, too! Ryan is waiting to meet you at 2032 Circle Road! He is a 2 year old, male. He weighs 50 lbs and he is available for adoption or foster care!
