Story
Introducing Mighty Maddie! We call her “Mighty” for several reasons: 1) because she was found in the median of a four-lane highway and survived! We don’t know how she got there but she popped her head up from the bushes at just the right time to be seen by one of DRDR’s co-founders. She was understandably scared but submitted when she knew she was going to be safe. 2) Maddie is short, compact and strong, but there is a sweetheart dying to get out and be loved. We think Maddie is a Boston Terrier/Pitbull mix. She is crate trained and is doing good with her leash walking. She LOVES to run in large circles in her foster families’ backyard. Maddie likes to chase her tail and she snores! When Maddie meets other dogs, she can be hesitant at first and gives a little growl, but she is testing the waters so to say. Maddie would do well with some obedience training as she really wants to please – she’s just not sure how. Her foster family is working on socialization and knows she will master it soon. Maddie is about one year old, 30lbs, spayed, up to date on vaccinations & microchipped. Maddie would do well with an active family with older children. She has not been tested with cats. Maddie has very unique markings. She is mostly white with black ears, black circles around her eyes, and some black on her tail. She does not shed much if at all. She loves to walk and hike. She is quick so would probably like to run with her forever family.
