Story
Scrappy is a 13 yr mixed breed that I have had since he was a puppy. He is used to the country life but moved to the city 4 yrs ago and has adapted very well. I work alot and can no longer give him the attention he so much wants and needs, Hes a super dog and very protective and friendly. It hurts to have to send him to a new home but I know if he goes to a place where he will get a little more attention he would be so happy, He always right under your feet and wanting to lay down beside you. He loves car rides as well. Scrappy is very very house broke and the thought of him having an accident in the house is of no worry. He does not like to have nails trimmed so that has to be done by a vet but may be able to be corrected by his owner but I just don't know. He does have a little elephant skin on his belly but i put oil on him to help with that. If your just looking for that perfect loving companion he is your guy.

Story
Fritter is a sweet little wiggle butt who wants nothing more than a lap to snuggle in. She loves people and should be fine with kids and dogs (she's not super playful but she does like them) and she may do fine with cats with slow intros (she's living with cats in her foster home). She's an awesome girl and should do well in just about any home.

Spencer has had a rough time of it recently by the looks of him. He was very thin when he came to the shelter. He is gaining the weight back but he still needs some TLC. He's OK with other dogs but would prefer an easy going friend and gentle children.

**Thank you for your interest in the dogs of Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary! At this time, due to the Coronavirus, the adoption program at Mackenzie's has been put on hold, and we will no longer be accepting new adoption applications. Please watch our website (www.mackenzies.info) or follow us on Facebook for the most up to date information, as this is how we will announce when we are resuming our normal adoption activities. We thank you again for your understanding and unwavering support, and want to assure you that our dogs are receiving excellent care as we endeavor through this challenging time.** My name is Kodi. My DOB is 3/22/13. I was taken into animal control because my past owner said they did not have time for me. I am currently working on my manners and and perfecting my commands. Even though I'm not the youngest guy anymore, I still have a lot of energy. I love taking walks and playing outside with my human friends. A family that likes to take hikes and trail walks would be my dream! I probably would be great in a home with older kids and adults, no toddlers. I love to play, but I am a big guy, so could accidentally knock someone over. Meet-Your-Match Caninality color is: Orange Busy Bee!!! For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Please fill out our online adoption survey at www.mackenzies.info

I've been told that I'm as pretty as a rose. MY D.O.B. is 12/06/15. I definitely have energy, but I can also settle down when I'm in a quiet room with some of my favorite people. I would love a home with a large fenced in yard, so I can run and play. I need a home with no other dogs or cats. I love to go on car rides and meet new people. I am a big fan of long walks with my human companion, and I am super smart. Our trainer at MAS takes me over to play on the agility equipment. I also am a cuddle fanatic and love to have my belly rubbed. I get a little nervous, with small children, and may jump on them. I am not the fondest of other dogs as well. My Meet-Your-Match Canineality color is: Green Life of the Party!!! For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Story
Overall very loveable dog, would be best suited in a single home environment with no children, does excellent with other dogs and cats. Very playful almost-three-year-old dog, hate to rehome him but know he would be better off in a different environment with someone who has more time for him as well as the finances to take him to the vet as he does have some medical issues that (after numerous times at the vet) have not been resolved.

Zues is a very good dog. We do have a newborn in the home now and where looking out for our baby's safety. Now he is hyper that's the only thing. Zues like to get excited just about over anything. He's well train to use the bathroom outside. He doesn't use the bathroom in the house. He loves being out doors and playing outside. He also loves car rides. Zues is also very protective over your home he's very alert about anything he hears.
