She is a great family dog! About Me:  You can tell by the fancy name that I'm a special girl.  Not only am I named after a fancy fashion line but my name also means lively, vivacious, witty!  Whoever gave me my name was spot on!  If you need help pronouncing it you can just say Spree.  I can play hard and sleep hard!  I love playing with other dogs and when I'm all worn out I'm happy to snuggle up with you on the couch.  I currently sleep in my crate but I wouldn't complain about sleeping in your bed.  I know basic commands like sit and down.  I might sit and stare at you while you eat but I won't jump up and try to take your food. I have to say that I have pretty good manners.  I might give you puppy eyes hoping you'll feed me something though.  I'm very curious and like to follow my foster humans around the house.  Belly rubs are my jam! I can't get enough of them.  I look forward to sharing all of my great qualities with you!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Andi Johnson (ajohnson451@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.I am deaf! 4/4 UPDATE: Grant and Gracie do not need to be adopted together. Grant would possibly be okay with another female but is reactive to the male in the foster home. Also, very curious ... a little too curious ... about the cat in the house.Hi everyone! My name is Grant, and I’m 8 years old! I’m deaf, but that small little detail only makes me more awesome! I’m a fantastic listener of body language, and vibration. I can sit, and I do so pretty dang well, just by seeing you hold up your hand! My sister Grace helps me too, and when I’m snoozing away and someone comes into the room, she doesn’t let me sleep through anything! She wakes me up by nudging me, or barking like a maniac in my face!    I’m heartworm positive, but at the very beginning of treatment, and I’m going to be just fine in a few months. The main thing right now is I can’t go for runs or play too hard.   I’m really curious with cats, and sometimes my foster mom is a little nervous when her kitten walks into my space. I think it’s better for me to be in a home with no kittens, or a cat that stands his ground with me, and can have space to roam where I’m not allowed.   I LOVE to play. I live for peanut butter kong treats, and I have so much attention and affection to give. I hope someone out there really wants to give me  a good home - we’re so lovable and we would make your family SO happy! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Andi Johnson (ajohnson451@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Well, hey everyone! My name is Grace and I’m not quite 12 years old. I am calm, easy going, and love snuggles and to kiss you. My tongue doesn’t always fit into my mouth, and my foster mom keeps saying how seriously adorable I am. She thinks my eyes can get me anything, so she gives me lots of treats, and peanut butter in my kongs. They’re my favorite.   I’m HW+ like my brother, but due to my age, the humans that love and care about me think its better for my body to not undergo the treatment for the worms. I’m cool with that, because they don’t even effect me, and I’d rather remain as healthy as possible for whatever time I have left!   I am awesome around cats, kids, other dogs, and anything else. I’m basically an angel and I hope our new home will show up soon - I can’t wait to get cozy and comfortable with my new family soon!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Little Miss Bailey must be an only dogMeet Bailey! Bailey was turned in by her family because they were “done with her”. She had reportedly nipped at a child over food. RCBR couldn’t let her retirement years be spent at a shelter or in jeopardy of being euthanized. She is good with cats but does not seem to care for most dogs. She is a nice petite 48 pounds and full of 48pounds of love to give you! She loves to wag her tail in happiness and likes to play wrestle if you will wrestle with her. She enjoys going for daily walks and loves to take naps and get gently body massages. She has some medical concerns including probably cancerous lumps (one on her ankle and one on her lip). Because of her age and because she had a couple short 10 second episodes of collapse, we believe it is not in her best interest to go through under anesthesia. She is a true doll and deserves the perfect furever home. We don’t know if she will have 6 months for 3 years but we know she will love you completely if you welcome her into your home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Oh I’s loves to be with her. I’s loves to sit next to hers and get my belly rubbed! She tells me that I’s a good good boy. She taught me to takes treats nice, even though I get really excited when I’s sees food! You sees, I was very lonely and walking the streets by myselfs for a whiles. Then these wonderfuls peoples came and brought me to their homes.  Now my foster momma says I’m sicks because I got these nasty worms in my heart. But she says not to worries, that pretty soon I will feels much better! I can’ts wait for that to happen so I’s can go for walks with my foster fur brothers! I’s wants to play so bad but my foster momma says I’s have to lay low for a whiles.  Untils then I’s will just have to settle for kissing and rubbings from my foster momma! _________________________________________________________Hey there, I'm George. Let me tell you a little bit about myself according to what my foster family has said about me.I am a good boy! I am housetrained and crate-trained. I sleep all night in my crate and have not had any accidents in the house. I will stand by the door when I need to go outside to potty, so keep your eye on me. I am giving you a signal. I love my food and treats. Anything will do for me, I am not fussy. I eat fast right now because I was not given enough food in the past and I think I need to gobble it up as fast as possible. But maybe that will change when I put some weight on and know someone will feed me regularly. I will sit patiently for a treat, but might try to grab it quickly from you before it disappears.I walk nice on a leash too.Thunder doesn't bother me, but I don't like rain.Mostly I just want to be next to my humans so they can easily pet me and rub my belly.Would you like to be the one to do that?Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
Name: Zeus Age: 2 years Gender: male Breed: Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever Mix Weight: 54 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Child friendly: Yes House trained: wears a diaper inside and uses potty chair Crate trained: yes Energy level: moderate Temperament: loving, playful, gentle Adoption Fee: Fully sponsored Requirement: not apartment appropriate   To adopt, go to: www.mendingspirits.org/apply-to-adopt.html   From the Foster Family: Zeus came to us scared and not knowing what to expect. He is a wonderful boy with some special needs as he cannot use his back legs. To get around inside the house he drags back end. He has learned to go up and downstairs with some help as we have a waist lifter. As we showed him how to do things himself he has built great confidence, sometimes a bit too much as he has gone down the stairs just fine by himself a few times. He does not have control of his bathroom needs, so he does wear a diaper inside and uses a potty chair.   When outside we hook him up to his wheels. I have never seen a dog smile so big when we first hooked him up. He loves playing fetch with a ball or stick. He plays with other dogs very well, keeps up with the best of them! He also loves going for walks, he can go about 1.5 miles but every day he builds up more strength. This dog gets all the ladies attention, everyone loves coming over to pet and say hi.   Don’t let his special needs stop you from meeting him. As soon as you meet him you will fall love as everyone does. He is one of the sweetest most gentle soles. You can tell he is so grateful to have some love, food and a warm blanket to snuggle into.   We will teach you all of the ways to care for him along with some tips and tricks we have learned along the way!   About Me: Hello, my name is Zeus, I came to my foster family scared and shaking. I soon learned all of the wonderful things they let me do! I get to go outside and play every day when it’s nice out. I go for walks and everyone comes to say hello to me, I’m super popular with the ladies and kids. Inside I love to chew on my bones, play with my toys. At the end of the day, my favorite thing is to cuddle up on the doggy bed with my fuzzy blanket to keep me warm. I am looking for a forever home that will love me for the special sweet guy that I am and look past the fact that my back end doesn’t work so well!

Dog Friendly: No dogs, please Cat Friendly: No cats, please Child Friendly: Yes House Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Energy Level: Moderate Temperament: Loyal, Obedient, Affectionate Requirements: fenced yard, not apartment appropriate, no other animals in the home  Adoption Fee: $0 fully sponsored adoption fee To Adopt, Go to: http://www.mendingspirits.org/apply-to-adopt.html About Me:  Dear Friends,  Welcome to my special little space on the world-wide-web. This is where I can spotlight myself to brightly shine to the world and tell you who I am.  Let's begin with my history- I was impounded locally and pregnant. As you read above, I have special preferences that are important to be successful. I was scheduled to be euthanized literally a week before giving birth to my family because I just simply need to be the only animal in the home. Thankfully, someone believed in me and I am alive to tell you this story... I was a good mother and successfully raised my beautiful family. All of my babies secured incredible adoptive homes. Some of those kind people banded together and sponsored my adoption fee because they believe in me too. There is a wonderful home waiting for me, we just know it! So here I await with an open heart ready and willing to love whoever can welcome me. I may need to be the only pet in the home but I can assure you that I make up for this with so much more. Here is the good stuff folks- I am a dream-dog in the home and have incredible house-manners. I don't mean to brag but seriously I am absolutely marvelous. I will tell you when I need to potty and have never had an accident! I kennel well too.  You wanna talk about love?  I am loaded with it and it's all for you! You see, I just want to love you and your family, children included.  I would be a stellar emotional support animal and this right here folks along with my house-manners is where I truly shine!   My devotion is timeless my love is endless and I want to bond with a family or person for life. I promise you that I can be that once in a lifetime dog, you've always dreamed of.  Love,  Deja
